Pattern 141-30. I am having trouble with the Yolk.Neck instructions. My st counts are correct 140 sts. But if I start 4sts before the first marker, work A1' that leaves 28 sts. Not 24 sts for the front! What am I doing wrong. Help
10.02.2013 - 00:22DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Hames, you start 4 sts before the marker ie the last 4 sts from left sleeve, and work A1 on the next 8 sts : last 4 sts from sleeve + first 4 sts from front piece, then work 24 sts st st for front piece and work the last 4 sts of front piece + the first 4 sts of sleeve in A.2. Happy Knitting !

Viel Spass dann beim Tragen!

Are you sure about the gauge? no way I can get only 9 sts.in 4" with us 15 needle
30.12.2012 - 18:33DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Hames, do not hesitate to use larger needles, the pattern is given with the basis of 9 sts x 12 rows = 4"x4". Happy knitting!

Wann wird für den Kragen abgenommen?
14.11.2012 - 15:48DROPS Design answered:

RAGLAN: Dec on each side of all 4 markers – read explanation under sleeves and body. Beg 2 sts before A.1/A.2 and work as follows: K 2 tog, work A.1/A.2, slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 and A.2. GARTER ST (in the round on circular needle): 1 ridge = 2 rounds * K 1 round and P 1 round *, repeat from *-*. -------------------------------------------------------- BODY: Worked in the round on circular needle. Cast on 92-100-108-116-128-136 sts on circular needle size 9 mm with Snow. Work rib = K 2/P 2 for 8 cm. Switch to circular needle size 10 mm and continue in stocking st, AT THE SAME TIME on 1st round dec 8-10-10-8-10-8 sts evenly = 84-90-98-108-118-128 sts. Insert 2 markers in the piece, 42-45-49-54-59-64 sts apart. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 15 cm, dec 1 st on each side of markers (= 4 sts dec), repeat dec when piece measures 25-26-27-28-29-30 cm = 76-82-90-100-110-120 sts. When piece measures 35-36-37-38-39-40 cm, cast off 3 sts on each side of markers (= 6 sts in each side) = 64-70-78-88-98-108 sts. Put piece aside and knit the sleeves. SLEEVE: Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Loosely cast on 24-24-28-28-32-32 sts on double pointed needles size 9 mm with Snow. Work rib = K 2/P 2 for 7 cm. Switch to double pointed needles size 10 mm and continue in stocking st, AT THE SAME TIME on 1st round dec 2-2-4-4-6-6 sts evenly = 22-22-24-24-26-26 sts. Insert a marker at beg of round = mid under sleeve. When piece measures 8 cm, inc 1 st on each side of marker, repeat inc every 3 cm 5-4-4-2-2-0 more times, then every 2 cm 5-7-7-10-10-13 times = 44-46-48-50-52-54 sts. Continue until piece measures 38-37-37-37-36-36 cm, now cast off 3 sts on each side of marker (= 6 sts dec) = 38-40-42-44-46-48 sts. Put piece aside and knit another sleeve. YOKE + NECK: Slip sleeves on to same circular needle as body where armholes were cast off = 140-150-162-176-190-204 sts. Insert 1 marker in all transitions between sleeves and body (= 4 markers). Insert 1st marker in transition between left sleeve and front piece. Then work as follows, beg 4 sts before first marker: Work diagram A.1, stocking st over the next 24-27-31-36-41-46 sts (= front piece), A.2 (second marker is in the middle of A.2), stocking st over the next 30-32-34-36-38-40 sts (= right sleeve), A.1 (third marker is in the middle of A.1), stocking st over the next 24-27-31-36-41-46 sts (= back piece), A.2 (fourth marker is in the middle of A.2), stocking st over the last 30-32-34-36-38-40 sts (= left sleeve). Work in stocking st and A.1/A.2, AT THE SAME TIME on next round, beg to dec for RAGLAN – see explanation above. Dec differently on body and on sleeves. SLEEVES: Dec a total of 15-16-17-18-19-20 times in each side of each sleeve as follows: Dec every 4th round 2-2-2-2-0-0 times, then every other round 13-14-15-16-19-20 times. BODY: Dec a total of 9-10-12-14-16-18 times in each side of front piece and in each side of back piece as follows: Dec every 4th round: 8-8-7-6-4-3 times and then every other round: 1-2-5-8-12-15 times. After all dec are done, 44-46-46-48-50-52 sts remain on needle. Work 2 rounds in garter st while AT THE SAME TIME inc 8-10-14-12-14-12 sts evenly = 52-56-60-60-64-64 sts. Then work rib = K 2/P 2 for 25-25-26-26-27-27 cm. Cast off with K over K and P over P. ASSEMBLY: Sew the openings under the sleeves. |
