How many stitches do you get after row 1? 15? Thanks.
27.04.2019 - 05:55DROPS Design answered:
Hi Claire, You keep the same number of stitches on each row to finished length. The yarn overs in the Fisherman's rib are equalled out by the stitches which are knitted together. Happy knitting!

The video instructions on row 2 and 3 don't seem to match the pattern on this page. Video says K next st and YO tog; pattern says K tog YO and Sl. Is that the same? Also, how many stitches do we end up with after completing row1? I am getting only 15 and tried it 3 times. thanks!!
01.02.2019 - 15:50DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Ramirez, both row 2 and 3 are the same, when you K tog next stitch and YO the next st will be the stitch you slipped on previous row. At the end of 1st round you get 11 sts: K1, (K2 tog, YO, slip 1 as if to P) x 4, K2 tog, K1. Happy knitting!

Gracias! Rita

Can this project be done on circular needles? I can then avoid grafting. Thank You!

Dear Mrs Farthing, this headband cannot be worked in the round since you will need to sew cast on edge and cast off edges together. Happy knitting!

As a beginner knitter I found the instructions for the ribbing a little difficult to interpret. So to make it easier on myself, couldn't I also get a similar effect by knitting one then purling one for every row? The videos were also difficult and too quick to understand, especially since they have no sound/ commentary.
06.12.2017 - 05:25DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Murphy, our videos have no sound since our customers from all other the world can watch them and every one couldn't understrand English. Work 1st row as explained with dec (K2 tog, YO, slip 1 as if to K) with K1 on each side. Row 2: K1, *YO, slip 1 as if to K, K tog YO and slipped st*, K1. Row 3: K1, *K tog yo and slipped st, YO, slip 1 as if to K*, K1. Repeat these 2 rows (row 2 and 3). It may take some rows before you can see how it will look. Happy knitting!
