After putting stitches on a stitch holder and continuing to knit with the non-remaining stitches, after you increase when on each side, giving you 11 stitches it then says to continue knitting until 7 inches. Does that mean 7 inches for these 11 stitches along or 7 inches from the very beginning of the original cast on of 36 stitches.?
12.04.2026 - 04:25DROPS Design answered:
Dear Nyllie, first you work 4" in rib for the 36 initial sts. Then you slip stitches to a stitch holder and work over 9 +2 new stitches (= 11 sts) with rib. After working 2¾" (or 7cm) of rib over these 11 sts (not including the previous 4", as this rib is shorter than the initial rib) , you start binding off. Happy knitting!

Hei. Hupsista. Huomasin ajatusvirheeni ohjeen osalta. Se mitä pidin kantakappuna on tietenkin jalkapöydän päällisosa. Eli ei tarvitse vastata tuohon kysymykseen.

Hei. Jalkaterän osa vaikuttaa jäävän kovin lyhyeksi. Kantalapun jälkeen neulotaan alle kymmenen senttiä. Olenko ymmärtänyt aivan väärin?

Can I use one strand of chunky, 14 stitches x 17 rows or does it have to be 2
22.12.2024 - 02:39DROPS Design answered:
Dear Renee, for this pattern you can work with 2 threads of a Group C yarn (like Nepal, which is aran/worsted, 10 ply) or 1 thread of a Group E yarn (14 ply/Super bulky). Check that the gauge of your swatch matches the one in your pattern and make the necessary adjustments if it doesn't; you can read more information here: https://www.garnstudio.com/lesson.php?id=25&cid=19. Happy knitting!
