I would love to ask about the front. “at center front edge bind off 2 sts then dec 1 st every other row 7 times” Do I have to bind off 2 sts at the front edge 7 times?
05.04.2025 - 03:25DROPS Design answered:
Dear Nhi, you bind off 2 sts once. Then, from now on, decrease 1 stitch (for example knitting 2 together) every other row 7 times. So on 7 rows (from the same side) decrease 1 stitch by knitting 2 together, also at the front edge. Happy knitting!

Bonjour!

Bon tricot!

Hi! Before shaping sleeve cap the mesuare for the size M is 47.5. Then we make bind off at next 22 rows. And it is expected that the measure will be 57. But the tension is 26 rows in 10 cm and 22 rows are 8-8.5 cm. So how to achieved 57 cm?
28.08.2024 - 07:22DROPS Design answered:
Dear Olga, you will work a total of 24 rows for sleeve cap (1 row casting off 4 middle stitches + 1 row from WS + 22 rows casting off 3 sts at the beg of each of these rows), so that sleeve cap should be approx. 9,2 cm + the last row casting off = approx. 9,6 cm + 47,5 = 57 cm. Happy knitting!

I would like to knit the two sleeves in two different colours, how many (approximately) grams of yarn should I need for one sleeve?

For the sleeves in the large size, what does it mean when it says to bind off at the beginning of every other row? That would surely mean you are only binding off on one side of the sleeve?
04.03.2023 - 01:10DROPS Design answered:
Dear Helen, you bind off at the beginning of every row from each side, so you decrease on each side, not just one side. So, you will bind off 3 stitches at the beginning of each row, both from the wrong side and the right side. Bind off 3 stitches over the next 26 rows (counting both rows from the right and wrong side). Happy knitting!

When doing the decreases ( bind offs) on the fronts for the armholes, do I finish the armhole decreases (to get to 45 stitches for size L) before starting the center decreases for V shaping? I am in the middle of the bind offs and have already reached 14.5 inches in length and the pattern says to start V neck decreases when I reach 14.5 inches. So I’m confused. Thank you for your help.
30.01.2023 - 22:24DROPS Design answered:
Hi Michele, When you reach the length to start decreasing for the neck, begin to decrease for the neck at the same time as you continue binding off for the armhole. Happy knitting!
