Buon lavoro!

GARTER ST (back and forth on circular needle): K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 rows K. PATTERN: See diagram A.1. Diagram shows all rows in pattern seen from RS. KNITTING TIP: To avoid the ridges from contracting the piece in the sides, work short rows evenly over the outermost sts in garter st in each side as follows: * Beg from RS and K over the outermost 16-20-22-16-20-26 sts, turn piece and K back. Turn piece and work as before over all sts, turn piece, K over the outermost 16-20-22-16-20-26 sts, turn piece, tighten thread and K back *, repeat from *-* after approx. every 5.cm. BUTTONHOLES: Dec for buttonholes in each side of front piece as follows: K fourth and fifth st from edge tog and make 1 YO, work as before until 5 sts remain on row, make 1 YO, K 2 tog and work the last 3 sts on row as before. Dec for buttonholes in each side when piece measures: SIZE S: 8 and 14 cm. SIZE M: 9 and 15 cm. SIZE L: 10 and 16 cm. SIZE XL: 8, 14 and 20 cm SIZE XXL: 9, 15 and 21 cm SIZE XXXL: 10, 16 and 22 cm ---------------------------------------------------------- PONCHO: BACK PIECE: Worked back and forth on circular needle. LOOSELY cast on 101-109-113-124-132-144 sts on circular needle size 6 mm with 1 strand of each yarn (= 2 strands). Work in GARTER ST - see explanation above. When piece measures 5 cm, work next row as follows from RS: 16-20-22-16-20-26 sts in garter st, work pattern according to diagram A.1 over the next 69-69-69-92-92-92 sts (= 3-3-3-4-4-4 repetitions) and finish with 16-20-22-16-20-26 sts in garter st. Continue the pattern like this. READ KNITTING TIP AND REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 50-52-54-56-58-60 cm, cast off the middle 27-27-29-30-34-34 sts for neck and finish each shoulder separately. Continue to cast off 1 st on next row from neck = 36-40-41-46-48-54 sts remain on the shoulder - NOTE: The sts that do not the pattern when casting off for neck are worked in stocking st, but on the rows worked K from WS, work over all sts – make also sure that the no of YOs and dec in pattern is the same so that no of sts is correct. Continue to work until piece measures 52-54-56-58-60-62 cm and LOOSELY cast off. Repeat in the other side. FRONT PIECE: Work as back piece but when piece measures 8-9-10-8-9-10 cm, dec for BUTTONHOLE in each side - see explanation above! When piece measures 46-48-49-51-52-54 cm, slip the middle 17-17-19-20-24-24 sts on 1 stitch holder for neck and finish each shoulder separately. Continue to cast off for neck at beg of every row from neck as follows: 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 2 times = 36-40-41-46-48-54 sts remain on shoulder - NOTE: The sts that do not fit in the pattern when casting off for neck are worked in stocking st, but on the rows worked K from WS, K over all sts – make also sure that the no of YOs and dec in pattern is the same so that no of sts is correct. When piece measures 52-54-56-58-60-62 cm, LOOSELY cast off. Repeat in the other side. ASSEMBLY: Sew shoulder seams inside cast-off edge - make sure the seam is not tight. NECK EDGE: Pick up approx. 64 to 84 sts around the neck (incl sts on stitch holders at the front) on circular needle size 5 mm with 1 strand of each yarn. P 1 round, K 1 round and P 1 round before LOOSELY casting off with K. ---------------------------------------------------------- BIG COLLAR: Worked back and forth on circular needle.
