Wie werden die Rückreihen gestrickt?
15.01.2026 - 13:49DROPS Design answered:

Bon tricot!

For the women's XL Drops 47-11, how many stitches should remain on the front side after the initial binding off (24 stitches) plus the additional binding off of 3 stitches (once), 2 stitches (twice) and 1 stitch (once)? I am having a hard time understanding the directions: either the neck opening is not balanced, which is odd, or I have to bind off 3 stitches at the edge of the neck on both the right and wrong side, resulting in a decrease total of 6 stitches. Please clarify.
22.04.2017 - 01:11DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Pell, on front piece there are 114 sts, you then cast off 24 sts for neck = 114-24= 90 sts/2 = 45 sts for each shoulder. Then cast off at the beg of every row from neck towards shoulder: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2 times and 1 st 1 time (= 8 sts dec for neck) = 45-8= 37 sts remain for each shoulder. On back piece, cast off the middle 36 sts = 78 sts/2 = 39 sts for each shoulder, then cast off 2 sts at the beg of next row from neck towards shoulder = 37 sts for each shoulder. Happy knitting!

M.4: Is the area M.4 marked the right way? Should it not have started with 1 row purl stiches (in Norwegian: vrangmasker)? It looks like that has been done on the jumper (ref the picture)
30.05.2016 - 18:40DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Birkeland, after you have worked 1 full repeat in M.2 in height, work M.4, then work M.5 - there will be then 2 ridges between the diamonds in M.2 and the double moss st in M.5. You can work one more ridge adjusting pattern but remember to check the measurements - feedback will be forwarded to our design team. Happy knitting!

I'm looking at the pattern sequence. For size small it says 9 sts of m.3 but there is 4 sts. Do I drop the first st since 9 isn't divisible by 4. Same with m.2 there are 29 sts and that doesnt divide into 102 sts. Am I just reading it wrong? Thank you in advance
09.10.2014 - 23:30DROPS Design answered:
Dear Kimberly, when you have to work 9 sts in M.3, work the diagram a total of 2 times (= 8 sts), then work first st from diagram (= 9 sts). Same for M.2, repeat the 29 sts of M.2 a total of 3 times, then work the last 15 sts in M.2 = 102 sts. Happy knitting!

Dear Sue, you first cast off 4 sts mid under arm, i.e. 2 sts before + 2 sts after marker mid under arm, then continue back and forth binding off at the beg of every row each side 4 sts 8 times (= every other row each side: 4 sts 8 times). Happy knitting!
