Bon tricot !

Knitted DROPS shawl with zigzag pattern in ”Fabel”.
DROPS 140-14 |
||||||||||||||||
PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 and A.2. Diagrams show pattern from RS. STRIPES: * 2 cm salt and pepper, 2 cm (= 6 rows) black, 5 cm silver fox, 1 cm off white (= 2 rows), 10 cm salt and pepper, 1½ cm (= 4 rows) black, 6 cm silver fox, 2 cm off white (= 6 rows) *, repeat from *-*. NOTE: Measure in st direction. ---------------------------------------------------------- SHAWL: The shawl is worked back and forth on circular needle to make room for all the sts. Cast on 11 sts on circular needle size 4 mm with salt and pepper Fabel. K 1 row from RS and P 1 row from WS. Then work STRIPES – see explanation above – AT THE SAME TIME work in stocking st with inc as follows: ROW 1 (= RS): K 2 sts in all sts = 22 sts. ROW 2 (and every row from WS): P all sts, but K first and last st on row (= edge sts). ROW 3 (= RS): K 1, * 1 YO, K 5 *, repeat from *-* a total of 4 times and finish with 1 YO and K 1 = 27 sts. ROW 5 (= RS): K 1, * 1 YO, K 6 *, repeat from *-* a total of 4 times and finish with 1 YO and K 2 = 32 sts. ROW 7 (= RS): K 1, * 1 YO, K 7 *, repeat from *-* a total of 4 times and finish with 1 YO and K 3 = 37 sts. Continue inc like this until there are 82 sts on needle – i.e. on every row from RS there is 1 st more in stocking st between every YO in repetitions (from *-*) and 1 st more in stocking st after last YO. Piece now measures approx. 10 cm in the middle. P 1 row from WS while AT THE SAME TIME inc 15 sts evenly = 97 sts. Continue stripes as before while AT THE SAME TIME working PATTERN as follows (also see diagram A.1): ROW 1 (= RS): * K 2 in 1st st, K 2 in next st, slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso, K 2 tog, K 2 in next st, K 2 in next st, insert 1 marker *, repeat from *-* 11 more times and finish with K 1 = 121 sts on needle and 12 markers in piece (1 marker after every repetition). ROW 2 (and every row from WS): P all sts (and YO) but K first and last st on row (= edge st). ROW 3 (= RS): * K 2 in 1st st, K 2, slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso, K 2 tog, K 2, K 2 in next st *, repeat from *-* and finish with K 1 = 121 sts. (These 3 rows are the same as the first 3 rows in A.1.) Continue the 12 repetitions like this with A.1 and 1 st in stocking st at the end of row. When A.1 has been worked 1 time vertically, there are 145 sts on needle. Continue working according to the diagram from this point in A.2. Then start repeating A.2 upwards but every time the repetition is repeated, there are 6 sts more in stocking st on each side of dec in the middle of every repetition (i.e. 12 sts more in stocking st in every repetition). When piece measures approx. 70 cm in the middle – NOTE: Finish after 2nd row in A.2 (i.e. after a row with holes), K 1 row from WS. Then loosely cast off with K from RS. |
