Liebes DROPS-Design-Team, ich habe eine Frage zum Abnahme-Diagramm: lt. Diagramm liegen bei der 1. Abnahme 3 Maschen rechts nebeneinander.

Thank for the response. If I chose to block it, will it stretch the beanie, will it loose the elasticity? The picture in the web, was it blocked? Please advise.

Do we need to block the beanie?

Hi Tsering, No, it's not necessary to block the beanie, but an option for you if you so wish. Regards, Drops team.

Hello :) if I do it with 132 stitches for 60cm I enter A1 with 33 stitches on each needle. Does A1 change in any form? I’m new to knitting and I’m just wondering because not on every needle I have a right stitch first. Would I change A1 to knitting 2 stitches together left for those sides that start with a left stitch?
27.11.2025 - 23:06DROPS Design answered:
Dear Franzi, due to the rib the fabric will be elastic enough to fit this size, so that you won't need to adjust pattern. Happy knitting!

Just when i started on A1, i realised that i had knitted two and two instead of one and one. I cannot finish it now - do you have another pattern for how to end it with 108 stiches?

Is there a way for me to translate the pattern to different head sizes? Like a 60cm version or 50cm one?
05.11.2025 - 20:16DROPS Design answered:
Hi Franzi, For 60 cm you could cast on 132 stitches. For 50 cm cast on 84 stitches. Regards, Drops Team.

Bon tricot!

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagram A.1. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- HAT – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The piece is worked in the round with circular needle, bottom up. Change to double pointed needles when necessary. HAT: Cast on 108-120 stitches with circular needle size 3.5 mm and Air. Purl 1 round. Work rib in the round (knit 1, purl 1). REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Continue until the piece measures 27-29 cm; there is approx. 7 cm left to finished length. Now work A.1 (= 12 stitches) a total of 9-10 times on the round. When A.1 has been completed in height there are 18-20 stitches on the needles. Knit all stitches together 2 and 2 = 9-10 stitches. Cut the strand and pull it through the remaining stitches, tighten and fasten well. The hat measures approx. 34-36 cm. Fold up approx. 10 cm on the right side. |
