How can I adapt this to make it for an adult?
25.10.2019 - 00:57DROPS Design answered:
Dear Vickie, you can take inspiration from a hat pattern for woman in the required tension - make sure to choose a pattern worked with stocking stitch or coloured pattern as this one, and adjust the number of stitches to get the correct number of repeats in width. Please contact your DROPS store - even per mail - for any further individual assistance. Happy knitting!

Buon lavoro!

Er "Little red nose" ekki sama uppskrift og þessi peysa?
24.10.2018 - 22:58DROPS Design answered:

EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagram A.1. The whole pattern is worked in stocking stitch. DECREASE TIP: Decrease 1 stitch after each marker as follows: Slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch (= 1 stitch decreased). ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- HAT - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The piece is worked in the round with short circular needle; change to double pointed needles when necessary. HAT: Cast on 96-108-120 stitches with circular needle size 3 mm and red. Knit 1 round. Then work rib (= knit 2 / purl 2) for 3 cm. Change to circular needle size 3.5 mm and knit 1 round where you decrease 12 stitches evenly on round = 84-96-108 stitches. Then work pattern in the round according to A.1 (= 7-8-9 repeats of 12 stitches). REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When A.1 has been completed the piece measures approx. 13 cm. Continue with light brown to finished length. When the piece measures 14-14-16 cm, insert 6 markers in the piece with 14-16-18 stitches between each one. On the next round decrease 1 stitch after each marker – read DECREASE TIP (= 6 stitches decreased). Decrease like this every 2nd round a total of 5-6-6 times and then every round a total of 5-6-6 times = 24-24-36 stitches. On the next round knit all stitches together 2 and 2 = 12-12-18 stitches. Knit 1 round and knit all stitches together again 2 and 2 = 6-6-9 stitches. Cut the strand, pull it through the remaining stitches, pull tight and fasten well. The hat measures approx. 20-21-23 cm. NOSES: Crochet with red and crochet hook size 3 mm as follows: Work 4 chain stitches and 1 treble crochet in the 4th chain stitch from the hook, cut and fasten the strand. Work 1 nose for each reindeer (=7-8-9 noses). Tie the noses to each reindeer and fasten the strands. |
