Hei, Yes the yo/’s are knitted in this row. You make a yo, then you K/K2 tog. Now you casting off as if the yo was a normal st. (Den Umschlag, eine M. stricken und dann den Umschlag über die gestrickte Masche ziehen)

The pattern says to knit the first row of M1 while casting off, but what about the yo's? Are they left out there, or are they really done in the cast off row, too? I cannot imagine how to do that... Help would be appreciated. :)

HAIRBAND Knitting Tension: 9.5 sts with 2 threads of Snow on needles size 9 mm in garter sts = 10 cm in the width. Garter sts (back and forth on row): Knit all rows. Hair band: Cast on 12 sts on pointed needles size 9 mm with 2 threads of Snow. K 4 rows of garter sts. **Knit the next row as follows: 1 edge st in garter sts, *make a yo, K2 tog.*, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 edge st in garter sts. Knit 8 rows of garter sts**, repeat from **-** until the piece measures approx 54 cm(or desired length) – make sure to finish with 4 rows of garter sts after a row of lace holes – and cast off. Assembly: Sew the short sides tog – sew edge against edge in the most outer part of the most outer sts to avoid the seam becoming chunky. SCARF Knitting Tension: 13 sts with 1 thread of each quality in wave pattern = 10 cm in the width. Garter sts (back and forth on row): Knit all rows. Wave Pattern: See diagram M.1 The diagram is shown from the RS. 1st row = RS. Scarf: Knitted back and forth length wise. Bend a circular needle size 7 mm double (could use 2 circular needles the same size) and cast on 195 sts on 2 needles ( this is done to make the edge more elastic) with 1 thread of each quality. Remove 1 needle and knit 2 rows of garter sts. Then continue in M.1 with 4 sts of garter sts each side. When the piece measure approx. 28 cm – make sure to finish 1 repeat – knit 2 rows of garter sts before casting off very loosely – knit the first row of M.1 whilst casting off which will make the casting off edge wavy. |
