Dag Kim,
Meestal heb je ongeveer 2 bollen nodig, dus 100 gram.

Hi there, when it comes to the pattern diagram. Am I right in thinking I start with a 12 stitch row, beginning with 2k, k, p, k. Until I reach the very end and then for the second row an 11 stitch round. And this is repeated 9 times. Thank you :)

Dear Asna, when you have to work diagram, repeat in the round the (K2 tog, K1/P1 over the next 10 sts) then on next round work the 11 sts in diagram as they appear in the diagram; K1, K1/P1 over the next 10 sts.. read more about diagram here. Happy knitting!

Hi, when you cast on do you join the last and first stitch to knit in the round. Or do you simply knit back and forth. Thank in advance.
30.11.2020 - 01:04DROPS Design answered:
Hi, yes, we join last and first sts and work in the round. Happy knitting!

I am confused as to when you switch to double pointed needles in this pattern. It doesn't seem to specify when / if it is necessary
15.11.2020 - 16:35DROPS Design answered:
Dear Hannah, you first work on circular needle, but when you will start to decrease for the top of hat you will have by and by less stitches, and then there won't be enough stitches to fit the circular needle, just continue then with double pointed needles. Happy knittting!

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagram A.1. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- HAT – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The piece is worked in the round with circular needle, bottom up. Change to double pointed needles when necessary. HAT: Cast on 108-120 stitches with circular needle size 3.5 mm and Air. Purl 1 round. Work rib in the round (knit 1, purl 1). REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Continue until the piece measures 27-29 cm; there is approx. 7 cm left to finished length. Now work A.1 (= 12 stitches) a total of 9-10 times on the round. When A.1 has been completed in height there are 18-20 stitches on the needles. Knit all stitches together 2 and 2 = 9-10 stitches. Cut the strand and pull it through the remaining stitches, tighten and fasten well. The hat measures approx. 34-36 cm. Fold up approx. 10 cm on the right side. |
