Ever since this picture hit Facebook, I was bombarded with orders for them. \r\nThey are such a fast, easy knit and very attractive. \r\nI recommend a leather bottom be added to your finished product. \r\nThe heels eventually wear through 😊

Hi there! Thanks for the cool pattern. My question concerns picking up stitches. I knitted 4” for the middle section and don’t have enough fabric to pick up 16 stitches on either side of this section. Should I continue in garter until I have 16 ‘bumps’ on the edge? Thank you!
11.09.2018 - 19:22DROPS Design answered:
Dear Audrey, the middle piece should measure 4", if you work more rows, piece will be longer and slippers may not match. Try to work somewhat more tight or pick up sts evenly between ridges to get the right measurements and correct number of sts. Happy knitting!

My \"adopted daughter\" is 6 feet tall with shoe size 13. She has the hardest time finding shoes and slippers. She found these on Pinterest and loved them. Can you tell me how many stitches I would need to add for the heel to toe rows?
10.07.2018 - 06:00DROPS Design answered:
Dear Diane, this pattern is only available to size 10 (foot length 10 1/4"), we are unfortunately not able to adjust every single pattern to every individual request. You are welcome to contact your DROPS store or any knitting forum for any further individual assistance. Happy knitting!

I've been in love with this pattern for over a year and have never had the guts to try it. Now I'm back to see them again. I dream about these slippers!!! I purchased double pointed needles, but I also have circular needles in the same size needed for this pattern. I am inexperienced with the double point needles, but am well acquainted with the circular needles. Are the circular needles an option for this pattern? Thank you so much for your response in advance.
22.03.2018 - 00:24DROPS Design answered:
Dear Amber, you can use the circular needle working in the round using the technnique of magic loop or learn to use the double pointed needles with the help of our videos, as in the video to these slippers. Happy knitting!

What weight is this yarn
24.02.2018 - 00:57DROPS Design answered:
Dear Donna, for this pattern, we use DROPS Eskimo yarn, which has about 50 meters in a 50 gramm skein, and knits up to about 11 stitches x 15 rows for 10 cm x 10 cm. That would but it into the chunky/ bluky category. Since everone knits differently, please always make a trial piece - a swatch- and check your gauge, and adjust accordingly. Happy Crafting!

One more question.... I wear a US size 11/12 womens shoe. How many stitches do I cast on for my big foot? Is there a formula I can use for various shoe sizes? Thanks.
03.01.2018 - 16:15DROPS Design answered:
Hi Amy, US size 11/12 is 42-43 in Euro size so you will need to cast on two more stitches than in size 40/42 to fit your size. Happy knitting!

1. I've watched the video for the Little Red Riding Hood Slippers, but it starts after you have a circle. Can you show how to start this pattern from the beginning? 2. I have 2 straight double-sided needles, but it looks like you're using 4 on the video. Do I need to get some more? 3. Can you explain what this means in the foot pattern: Continue in garter st back and forth over the 9-11-11 sts - AT THE SAME TIME? Thank you.
03.01.2018 - 16:10DROPS Design answered:
Hi Amy, Yes you need four or five double sided needles to work in the round, then divide the stitches onto the 3/4 needles and use the last needle to work with. When working the foot, you work back and forth over the stitches in garter stitch and (at the same time) on the first row you increase 1 new stitch in each side for edge stitches. We use AT THE SAME TIME in our patterns when things need to be worked concurrently. Hope this helps and happy knitting!
