How can I get help with a DROPS pattern?

Each individual pattern contains a Comments section where you can post questions, get answers in your own language and also read what other knitters have commented on the pattern.

Any corrections made to a pattern after its publication will be displayed at the bottom of the pattern text, in red.

You can also find the corrections to all our patterns under Free Patterns > by Catalogue > Corrections, in the top menu.

For more specific support, you need to contact the store where you bought the yarn.

Ik wil aan 2e patroon van Garn Studio te beginnen. 1e patroon / vest heb ik nooit afgemaakt omdat niemand het patroon volledig begreep. Het ligt al jaren in een hoek. Nu heb ik moed om aan ander vest te beginnen. Maar opnieuw begrijp ik weinig als ik het patroon lees. Wordt er nu dit of dat bedoelt. Moet ik dit nu op een aparte pen doen of niet. Bonjour Mme Zerarga, il faut plus de mailles avec les 4 en côtes qu'avec les aiguilles 5 en jersey pour la même largeur, autrement dit, après les côtes, on doit diminuer pour conserver la largeur souhaitée. Bon tricot!

Dear Michelle, yoke is more than 3 rows, not sure to understand your meaning here; you just have to work all diagrams as follows, until A.2 is done (just follow instructions as written ie increase evenly on 6th round in A.1 in M) and after A.2 is done, work A.1 as before and A.3 just as described in the pattern. Bonjour Lucy, notez bien que les marqueurs doivent être ici placé dans une maille, et pas entre 2 mailles, ainsi, ce sont les 4 mailles avec chacune un marqueur qui vous manquent dans votre décompte. Bon tricot!

Dear Mary, you slip stitches for both legs on the same circular needle, but the rounds will now start in the middle of the left leg, so that the rounds start on the side and not on mid front/mid back. Happy knitting!

Dag Yvonne,

Patronen A.1, A.2 en A.3 horen bij elkaar. Je haakt eerst A.1 dan herhaal je steeds A.2 en tot slot haak je A,3. Dan keer je het werk en brei je omgekeerd terug (dus eerst A.3, dan A.2 en tot slot A.1). Zo ga je steeds heen en weer. Het begin kun je zien doordat het met één of meerdere lossen begint en niet met bijvoorbeeld een stokje of vaste.

Dear Mrs Pontius, if you have to cast off in each side 2 sts 4 times you will cast off 2 stitches at the beginning of next 8 rows (= you will have cast off 2 stitches 4 times on each side). Then cast off 1 stitch at the beg of next 10 rows (= 1 st 5 times on each side). Happy knitting!

Bonjour Marilyne, les augmentations des manches et celles du dos et du devant ne se font pas au même rythme: vous augmentez d'abord tous les 2 tours pour le devant et le dos puis tous les 4 tours; et pour les manches vous augmenterez uniquement tous les 2 tours, autrement dit, il va arriver un moment où vous allez augmenter alternativement 4 mailles (manches seulement tous les 2 tours) et 8 mailles (pour les manches tous les 2 tours mais aussi pour le devant/le dos tous les 4 tours). Bonjour Mary, en taille M vous augmentez pour le dos/le devant 11 fois tous les 2 tours + 6 fois tous les 4 tours, soit 17x4m (2 m pour le dos + 2 m pour le devant)= 68 m, et pour les manches 23 fois tous les 2 tours soit 23x4=92 mailles. On avait 128 mailles + 68 + 92 = on a bien 288 mailles. Bon tricot!

Hei Vera. I str. 2 år skal du ha 95 m etter halskanten. Så strikker du etter diagrammene og øker til raglan på hver pinne fra retten 17 ganger = 68 raglanøkninger + maskene du øker når du strikker diagram A.4 og A.5. A.4 = 1 maske, og når diagrammet er ferdigstrikket i høyden er det økt med 24 masker x 2. (A.4 strikkes 2 steder). A.5 = 1 maske, og når diagrammet er ferdigstrikket i høyden er det økt med 22 masker x 2, (A.5 strikkes 2 steder). Halsmasker (95 m) + Raglansøkninger (68 m) + 24+24 (A.4) + A.5+A.5 (22+22) = 95+68+48+44= 255 masker. Du fortsetter mønstret slik at det stemmer overens med det du allerede har strikket. Dear Kieu Huynh, if this is the pattern you are referring to: https://www.garnstudio.com/pattern.php?id=10964&cid=19 there is only one chart A.1 (the others are A.2 and A.3). This chart has 8 stitches, which is repeated over the 160 stitches, 20 times. As you work the charts upwards, when you reach the row with the arrow, you will increase 40 stitches evenly. Since you have 20 repeats you can increase 2 stitches on each repeat. Happy knitting!
