PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1 and A.2. Choose diagram for your size.
----------------------------------------------------------

HAT:
The piece is worked in the round with double pointed needles. Cast on 72-84-84-96 (96-108) stitches with double pointed needles size 4 mm and Puna. Work A.1a (= 12 stitches) over all stitches (= 6-7-7-8 (8-9) times in width). When A.1a has been completed 1 time in height, work A.1b over A.1a. Continue like this. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When the piece measures approx, 10-11-12-12 (12-13) cm, adjust to after a whole repeat of A.1b in height, work A.2 over A.1b (there are now approx. 4-4-4-5 (5-5) cm left). When A.2 has been worked 1 time in height, there are 24-28-28-32 (32-36) stitches on the needles. Knit together all stitches 2 and 2 on the next 2 rounds (= a total of 2 times) = 6-7-7-8 (8-9) stitches. Cut the strand and pull it through the remaining stitches. Pull tight and fasten well. The hat measures approx. 14-15-16-17 (17-18) cm.

Vilma 06.11.2018 - 08:11:

Hi. I’m confused as the pattern calls for two blank squares from diagram instructions. One calls for 3 stitches on cable neddle and other calls for 1 but I don’t see where those stitches are? I’m confused please help!

DROPS Design 06.11.2018 kl. 08:53:

Dear Vilma, when there is a white square alone, knit this stitch, when 2 white squares do have a diagonal crossing them, you will work these stitches as explained under diagram key, ie 9th and 10th symbol, when 3 white squares have a diagonal crossing them, you work these 3 sts as explained under 7th and 8th symbol and the 4 white squares with a diagonal is worked as 3rd and 4th symbol and so on. Happy knitting!

Suzanne 17.07.2018 - 03:24:

Lovely pattern! Is it possible to knit this pattern using circular needles rather than double-pointed ones? Thank you.

DROPS Design 17.07.2018 kl. 07:38:

Dear Suzanne, of course you can use either a shorter, about 40 vm long, circuar needle, or a longer one with the magic loop techniques. The following video will show you how to us the magic loop technique: Happy Knitting!

Christiane LE NILIOT 21.05.2018 - 16:55:

Bon tricot!
