Tips & Help

Thank you for choosing DROPS Design!

We do our best to make our patterns easy to follow.

For that purpose, each of our patterns has specific tutorial videos to help you, which you will find at the bottom of the page.

We have also step-by-step lessons to help you understand some of the techniques we use in our patterns. You'll find them here!

NOTE: This pattern is written in British English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inches - click here. There are different terms for crocheting in British and American English. If this pattern includes crochet, click for "crochet terms" here. For this pattern in American English, please click here.
See diagrams A.1-A.5. Diagrams A.3 and A.5 show how round beg and ends.

When switching ball with Eskimo, split the old strand in two on the last 15 cm – cut off one part, do the same on the new strand. Place the first and last 15 cm on top of each other so that the yarn is the normal thickness and continue to work – this is done to make the strand switch invisible in the yarn. Adjust so that only one of the three strands is changed at a time.

Crochet 5 ch on hook size 12 mm with 3 strands Eskimo and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. Then work diagram A.1 - READ TIP FOR CHANGING YARN and REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION. When A.1 has been worked vertically, continue with A.2 6 times in total on round (A.3 shows beg and end of round). Then work A.4 8 times in total on round (A.5 shows how round beg and end). Fasten off.
