GARTER ST (back and forth on needle):
K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 rows K.

PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1 to A.3. Diagrams show all rows seen from RS.

--------------------------------------------------------

SLIPPERS:
Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 36-38-40 sts on double pointed needles size 6 mm with Eskimo. Insert a marker at beg of round, work rib K 1/P 1 over the first 13-14-15 sts, work diagram A.1 over 11 sts, work rib K 1/P 1 over the next 12-13-14 sts. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION Work the same way until piece measures approx. 10 cm. Work until where A.1 beg. Now slip all sts except sts from st in A.1 on a stitch holder. Then work according to A.1 and cast in addition on 1 new edge st in each side of the 11 sts = 13 sts (= middle piece). When middle piece measures 7-8.5-10 cm, dec 1 edge st in each side from RS = 11 sts. Pick up 12-14-16 sts inside 1 edge st along side of middle piece, slip sts from stitch holder back on double pointed needles and work these sts, then pick up 12-14-16 sts inside 1 edge st along the other side of middle piece = 60-66-72 sts on needle. Insert 1 marker thread mid front of toe and 1 marker thread mid back on heel, measure piece from here. Continue in the round with rib over all sts until piece measures approx. 4-5-5 cm from marker thread. Then work in stocking st and dec 2 sts on each side of all markers every other row (= 4 sts less per decrease round), continue dec until piece measures 7-8-9 cm from marker thread. Cast off, fold piece double and sew tog in cast-off edge. Sew in outer loops of edge sts to avoid a chunky seam. Knit another slipper the same way.

LEG: Work 2 loose legs that are sew at the top of slippers at the end.

Leg 1: Cast on 14 sts on needle size 6 mm with Eskimo. K 2 rows. On next row work as follows from WS: 1 edge st in garter st, P 1, K 1, P 1, K 1, P 1, K 1, * P 1, 1 YO, P 1, 1 YO *, K 1, repeat from *-* 1 time, K 1 and 1 edge st in garter st = 18 sts. Work next row according to diagram A.2 with 1 edge st in garter st in each side (1st row = RS), K YOs from previous row twisted to avoid holes. Continue working according to A.2 until piece measures 31-33-35 cm. K 2 rows and loosely cast off with K. Sew cast-off and cast-on edge tog with small stitches.

Leg 2: Cast on 14 sts on needle size 6 mm with Eskimo. K 2 rows. On next row work as follows from WS: 1 edge st in garter st, K 1, * P 1, 1 YO, P 1, 1 YO *, K 1, repeat from *-* 1 time, K 1, P 1, K 1, P 1, K 1, P 1 and 1 edge st in garter st = 18 sts. Work next row according to diagram A.3 with 1 edge st in garter st in each side (1st row = RS), K YOs from previous row twisted to avoid holes. Continue working according to A.3 until piece measures 31-33-35 cm. K 2 rows and loosely cast off with K. Sew cast-off and cast-on edge tog with small stitches.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew leg to slippers, pull legs approx. 1 cm down on outside of slippers and fasten with small stitches. Make sure that seam is mid back and that side with cable is on the over side of slipper.

Takk for svar

DROPS Design 09.11.2017 kl. 08:56:

Hei Thea.

Morag Matheson 03.06.2017 - 21:51:

Instructions state seam (I assume of leg) should be mid back, but appears to be inside leg in picture.

DROPS Design 06.06.2017 kl. 09:30:

Dear Mrs Matheson, the video below shows how to work the slippers, and how to sew them tog. Happy knitting!

Camilla Arnfred 21.12.2016 - 09:39:

I love these slippers, and i started knitting them.. however, there is a symbol missing in the diagram key - could you please help me out with that! Thanks

DROPS Design 21.12.2016 kl. 09:56:

Dear Mrs Arnfred, you will find all symbols and the matching stitches under Diagram text - the video below may also help you. Happy knitting!

Dorte 04.12.2016 - 23:23:

So I cast on 38 stitches...when I come to A.1 that means after 14 rib stitches I come to another Purl, that would be 2 purls together...is that right???

DROPS Design 05.12.2016 kl. 10:03:

Dear Mrs Dorte, in 2nd size you will have 2 P sts next to each other: the last P st in rib (14 sts in rib K1/P1 will end with P1) and first st in A.1 = P 1. Happy knitting!

Jessica 24.01.2016 - 11:28:

Bon tricot!

Highly energetic post, I loved that bit. Will there be a part 2?

Hi there just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know a few of the pictures aren't loading properly. I'm not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I've tried it in two different browsers and both show the same outcome.
