CROCHET INFO:
Work in back loop of st from previous round. Inc with ch.
After last sl st on the round, continue to next round with 1 sl st in next st (= first st on next round).

CROCHET TIP:
Make sure that the sl st is loose enough: Insert the hook into the stitch, YO, pull the loop through the stitch, make the loop a little longer and pull it through the stitch on the hook.
----------------------------------------------------------

SLIPPER:
Worked from toe towards the heel. Then work leg.

FOOT:
Worked in the round.
Work 5 ch on hook size 8 mm with Polaris and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 1: Work 1 ch, 5 dc in ch-ring.
ROUND 2: READ CROCHET INFO! Work * 1 sl st in first/next dc, 1 ch *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 5 sl sts and 5 ch.
ROUND 3: Work * 1 sl st in each of the first/next 2 sts (i.e. 1 sl st and 1 ch), 1 ch *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 10 sl sts and 5 ch.
ROUND 4: Work 1 sl st in every st = 15 sl sts. REMEMBER CROCHET TENSION - READ CROCHET TIP.
ROUND 5: Work * 1 sl st in each of the first/next 5 sts, 1 ch *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 15 sl sts and 3 ch.
ROUND 6: Work 1 sl st in every st = 18 sl sts. Inc are now done in size 35/37.

SIZE 38/40:
ROUND 7: Work * 1 sl st in each of the first/next 9 sl sts, 1 ch *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 18 sl sts and 2 ch.

ROUND 7: Work * 1 sl st in each of the first/next 9 sl sts, 1 ch *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 18 sl sts and 2 ch.
ROUND 8: Work * 1 sl st in each of the first/next 10 sts, 1 ch *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 20 sl sts and 2 ch.

ALL SIZES:
Work 1 round with 1 sl st in every st = 18-20-22 sl sts. Then work 1 sl st in every sl st until piece measures approx. 9-10-12 cm. Now work the heel from here - do not cut the yarn.

HEEL:
Worked back and forth. Work star pattern as follows:
ROW 1 (= RS): Work 3 ch, pick up 5 sts, beg in 2nd ch from hook (= 6 sts on hook), make a YO and pull YO through all 6 sts, work 1 ch to make a hole over the 6 sts, * pick up 1 st in the hole, pick up 1 st in the side on the last of the 6 sts, pick up 1 st in same st as the last of the 6 sts was picked up in, 1 st in each of the 2 next sl sts (= 6 sts on hook), make a YO and pull YO through all 6 sts, 1 ch *, repeat from *-* 6-7-8 more times, work 1 htr in last sl st. Turn.
ROW 2 (= WS): Work 2 ch, work 2 htr in every "star hole", finish row with 1 htr in last st = 8-9-10 stars in width and 1 star vertically. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! Turn.
ROW 3: Work 3 ch, pick up 1 st in 2nd and 3rd ch from hook, 1 st in each of the first 3 sts on row (= 6 sts on hook), make a YO and pull YO through all 6 sts, 1 ch, * pick up 1 st in the hole, 1 st in the side on the last of the 6 sts, 1 st in same st as the last of the 6 sts was picked up in, 1 st in each of the next 2 sts (= 6 sts on hook), make a YO and pull YO through all 6 sts, 1 ch *, repeat from *-* 6-7-8 more times, finish with 1 htr in last st. Turn.
Repeat 2nd and 3rd row 1-1-2 more times and 2nd row 1 more time.
Size 35/37 and 41/43 are done - piece measures approx. 23-28 cm from toe.
Size 38/40: Work 1 row as follows (= RS): Work 2 ch (= 1 htr), 1 htr in back loop of every htr - piece measures approx. 25 cm from toe.
Cut the yarn and leave approx. 30 cm for assembly.

ASSEMBLY:
Place the slipper double and sew mid back in outer loops of edge sts to make the seam flat.

LEG:
Worked in the round from mid back heel.
ROUND 1: Work * 1 sl st, 1 ch *, repeat from *-* 11-12-13 more times evenly along edge, finish with 1 sl st = 13-14-15 sl sts and 12-13-14 ch.
ROUND 2: Remember CROCHET INFO! Work 1 sl st in every st = 25-27-29 sl sts.
Repeat 2nd round until piece measures approx. 17-18-19 cm measured from mid under foot. Fasten off. Work another slipper the same way.

Rawan 30.01.2018 - 22:46:

Hi, thanks for the wonderful pattern. I was wondering what I should do if I want it for a 7-8 year old. Thanks.

Dear Rawan, this pattern is only available in adult size, but you can adjust it with the help of crocheted slippers for children. Happy crocheting!

Josie Barkway 15.10.2017 - 22:49:

Hi there, I am making the slippers DROPS 164-11 and i am not understanding the beginning part. So i chain 5 and then join it. Then i chain one and i do 5 crochets into the middle of the ring? Then i do one sl st, 1 ch for the next row ending on a chain. Then 2 slip stitches and 1 ch ending with a chain. Is that correct? Maybe it's the size of wool i am using but my slipper looks like a funnel so far...

DROPS Design 15.10.2017 kl. 23:22:

Dear Josie, yes, you do 5 ch and make it into a circle, and into that circle you do 5 dc (sc if you are American. In the next round one stitch into the top of each stitch, and one ch between each stitch, etc. First you make a circle, then it will turn into a funnel/ or tube after the 4th round. Happy croceheting!

Corina 17.07.2016 - 15:06:

(Größe 41) Was mache ich falsch? Viele Grüße, Corina

DROPS Design 19.07.2016 kl. 15:14:
