Pattern: See diagram. Diagram is showing pattern from RS.

Shawl: Cast on 5 sts on circular needles and knit pattern according to chart for Pattern 1. After chart, continue the pattern in the same manner, increasing 2 sts every other row, and adding «blossoms» as in chart. Continue until there are 14 blossoms across width = 209 sts. K 5 rows stockinette st over the last blossom row, keeping 16 sts at each side in lace pattern, and continuing to increase 2 sts every other row. After these 5 rows there are 213 sts.

Now knit lace pattern over all sts - put a marker in the center st and continue to inc 2 sts every other row as before - Pattern 2 shows how the pattern should look at center, with each side a mirror image of lace pattern. Knit 24 rows lace pattern, then P 1 row (right side row), bind off all sts on the next row.

I keep looking for the amount of yarn required, and I keep not finding it. In US patterns it's mentioned under Materials.

Elinor Dashwood 04.11.2013 kl. 17:28:

Ah, I see it. 100 grams is not a size description of the skein, it's an indication that two skeins are needed.

Dorte Pedersen 06.10.2013 - 22:15:

Fantastisk dejligt sjal.

The instructions say "Pattern 2 shows how the pattern should look at center," but I do not see Pattern 2 anywhere, I only see Diagram M1. That part would help greatly as I am a visual person. Thanks!

DROPS Design 10.04.2012 kl. 00:14:

Pattern 2 is a selection in the Pattern 1, marked on the left side of chart.
