GARTER ST (back and forth):
K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 rows K.

MEASURING TIP:
Because of the weight of the yarn all measurements must be done by holding the piece up otherwise the garment will be too long when worn.

DECREASE TIP:
Dec inside 1 edge st in garter st. All dec are done from RS!
Dec before 1 edge st as follows: K 2 tog.
Dec after 1 edge st as follows: Slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso.

INCREASE TIP:
Inc 1 st by making 1 YO, on next row K YO twisted (i.e. work in back loop of st instead front) to avoid holes.

BUTTONHOLES:
Dec for buttonholes on right band. 1 buttonhole = K tog third and fourth st from edge and make 1 YO.
Dec for buttonholes when piece measures:
SIZE S: 33, 43, 53 and 63 cm
SIZE M: 36, 46, 56 and 66 cm
SIZE L: 39, 49, 59 and 69 cm
SIZE XL: 41, 51, 61 and 71 cm
SIZE XXL: 44, 54, 64 and 74 cm
SIZE XXXL: 46, 56, 66 and 76 cm
----------------------------------------------------------

JACKET:
Worked back and forth in several pieces and sewn tog when finished.

BACK PIECE:
Loosely cast on 50-54-58-62-68-74 sts on circular needle size 8 mm with 2 strands Puddel. Work in GARTER ST - see explanation above. When piece measures 8-8-8-9-9-9 cm - READ MEASURING TIP, insert 1 marker in each side of piece (vent beg here). REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! On next row dec 1 st inside 1 edge st in garter st in each side of piece - Read DECREASE TIP! Repeat dec every 13-14-14-14-15-16 cm 2 more times = 44-48-52-56-62-68 sts. When piece measures 56-58-60-62-64-65 cm, cast off for armholes in each side as follows: Cast off 2-2-2-3-4-4 sts at beg of the next 2 rows = 40-44-48-50-54-60 sts. Work until piece measures 69-72-75-78-81-83 cm, then cast off for neck as follows: Cast off the middle 6-6-8-8-10-10 sts for neck and finish each shoulder separately. Continue to cast off 1 st on every row from neck 4 times in total = 13-15-16-17-18-21 sts remain on each shoulder. Loosely cast off when front piece measures 71-74-77-80-83-85 cm.

RIGHT FRONT PIECE:
Loosely cast on 29-31-33-35-38-41 sts (incl 4 band sts) on circular needle size 8 mm with 2 strands Puddel. Work in garter st (also over band sts). When piece measures 8-8-8-9-9-9 cm, insert 1 marker in the side of piece (vent beg here). Then dec 1 st inside 1 edge st in garter st in the side, i.e. at the end of row seen from RS (= same side as vent). Repeat dec every 13-14-14-14-15-16 cm 2 more times = 26-28-30-32-35-38 sts. Remember BUTTONHOLES - see explanation above. Work until piece measures 56-58-60-62-64-65 cm, cast off 2-2-2-3-4-4 sts for armhole at beg of next row from WS = 24-26-28-29-31-34 sts. When piece measures 64-67-70-72-75-77 cm, cast off for neck towards mid front as follows: Cast off 7-7-8-8-9-9 sts 1 time. Continue to cast off 1 st on every row from neck 4 times in total = 13-15-16-17-18-21 sts. Loosely cast off when piece measures 71-74-77-80-83-85 cm.

LEFT FRONT PIECE:
Work as right front piece but reversed, dec in the side and cast off for armhole at beg of row from RS. Do not dec for buttonholes.

SLEEVE:
Worked back and forth on circular needle. Loosely cast on 20-20-22-22-24-24 sts on circular needle size 8 mm with 2 strands Puddel. Work in garter st. When piece measures 8 cm in all sizes, inc 1 st in each side - READ INCREASE TIP! Repeat inc every 10-7½-7½-6-5½-4½ cm 4-5-5-6-6-7 more times (= 5-6-6-7-7-8 times in total) = 30-32-34-36-38-40 sts. Insert 1 marker in each side of sleeve when it measures 50-49-49-47-45-43 cm (for assembly). When piece measures 52-51-51-50-49-47 cm (shorter measurements in the larger sizes because of wider shoulders), loosely cast off all sts.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew shoulder seams inside cast-off edges. Sew in sleeves, sew sleeve seams in outer loops of edge sts - NOTE: Section worked back and forth after marker at the top of sleeve should fit the cast off for armhole. Sew side seam from armhole down to marker on back piece and front piece in outer loops of edge sts: Vent = 8-8-8-9-9-9 cm. Sew the buttons on to the left band.

NECK EDGE:
Worked back and forth on circular needle. Pick up from RS approx. 50-60 sts along the neck on circular needle size 8 mm with 2 strands Puddel. Work in garter st for 3 cm. Loosely cast off.

Wieviel Andes braucht man hierfür?

DROPS Design 25.03.2019 kl. 15:59:

Hanne 25.09.2018 - 18:37:

Hej, Jeg vil gerne strikke modellen Rita.

Hi i was wondering if you had gotten any feedback to my question. i would like to get the jacket finished. Thanks Lynda

Burkett Lynda 14.03.2017 - 22:29:

Hi I don't know whether I am reading the pattern wrong or whether there is an actual error in the pattern. I am doing the XL size and the buttonholes are do be done when work measures 48,58,68 and 78. Everything was fine until i read to dec at neck edge already when work measures 72. I am not a very experienced knitter, could you please help me with this? Thanks in advance Lynda.

DROPS Design 15.03.2017 kl. 09:10:

Dear Mrs Burkett, thank you for your feedback, our Design Team will have a look on this. Happy knitting!

Tina Olsen 06.04.2016 - 17:50:
