Pattern instructions

NOTE: This pattern is written in British English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inches - click here. There are different terms for crocheting in British and American English. If this pattern includes crochet, click for "crochet terms" here. For this pattern in American English, please click here.
MEASURING TIP:
Because of the weight of the yarn all measurements must be done by holding the piece up otherwise the garment will be too long when worn.

GARTER ST (back and forth on needle):
K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 rows K.

PATTERN:
See diagram A.1. The diagram shows all rows in pattern seen from RS.

MOSS ST:

Row 2: K over P and P over K. Repeat 2nd row.

RAGLAN:
All inc are done from RS.

INCREASE TIP:
Inc 1 st by making a YO.
On next row work YO twisted (i.e. work in the back loop of st instead of front) to avoid holes. NOTE: Work the new sts in moss st.

Cast on 52-56-60-64-68-72 sts (incl 4 band sts in GARTER ST - see explanation above, in each side) on circular needle size 10 mm with 1 thread Cloud or Eskimo or 2 threads Air. On 1st row (= RS) work as follows: 4 band sts in garter st, stocking st over the next 44-48-52-56-60-64 sts, AT THE SAME TIME inc 10 sts evenly, finish with 4 band sts in garter st = 62-66-70-74-78-82 sts. Work 1 row. Insert 4 markers in the piece as follows: 4 band sts in garter st, 9-10-11-12-13-14 sts in MOSS ST - see explanation above, insert a marker (= front piece), A.1 (= 4 sts), K 1, A.1, insert a marker (= sleeve), 18-20-22-24-26-28 sts in moss st, insert a marker (= back piece), A.1, K 1, A.1, insert a marker (= sleeve), 9-10-11-12-13-14 sts in moss st, 4 band sts in garter st (= front piece). On next row from RS, beg inc for RAGLAN – see explanation above. NOTE! Inc differently on body and sleeves. Remember BUTTONHOLES - see explanation above. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION!

RAGLAN BODY:
Inc every other row 2-3-4-5-6-8 times, every 4th row 1-1-1-2-2-3 times and every 6th row 4-4-4-3-3-2 times. There are now 32-36-40-44-48-54 sts on back piece and 20-22-24-26-28-31 sts on each front piece.

RAGLAN SLEEVE:
Inc every other row 12-13-14-16-17-18 times and every 4th row 2-2-2-1-1-1 times. There are 37-39-41-43-45-47 sts for each sleeve.

When all inc are done there are 146-158-170-182-194-210 sts on needle. Piece measures 27-28-29-30-31-32 cm from shoulder. On next row work as follows: Work the first 20-22-24-26-28-31 sts (= front piece), slip the next 37-39-41-43-45-47 sts on a stitch holder for sleeve, cast on 7 new sts under sleeve, work the next 32-36-40-44-48-54 sts (= back piece), slip the next 37-39-41-43-45-47 sts on a stitch holder for sleeve, cast on 7 new sts under sleeve, work the remaining 20-22-24-26-28-31 sts (= front piece).

BODY:
There are now 86-94-102-110-118-130 sts for body.
Work the new sts under sleeves in moss st, but P the middle st (seen from RS). Insert a marker in P st. NOW MEASURE THE PIECE FROM HERE. When piece measures 7 cm - READ MEASURING TIP, inc 1 st on each side of P sts with markers in each side - READ INCREASE TIP. Repeat inc when piece measures 22-23-24-25-26-27 cm = 94-102-110-118-126-138 sts. When piece measures 66-68-70-72-74-76 cm in total, cast off with K over K and P over P.

SLEEVE:

Mvh Lena

DROPS Design 08.02.2018 kl. 10:00:

Hei Lena. I str M. Når du setter 4 merker i arbeidet har du 9 masker på hvert erme (A.1(= 4 masker) + 1 maske rett + A.1(=4 masker)).

DROPS Design 05.01.2018 kl. 12:20:

Hallo Ellen, De hoeveelheid garen zou moeten kloppen.

Men tre knapper. Det hænger ikke sammen?

DROPS Design 12.12.2017 kl. 11:15:

Tak for info!

Bente Villumsen 02.12.2017 - 22:30:
