Gauge: 8 sts x 10 rows in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm

Rib: * K 1, P 1 * , repeat from * - *.

Pattern: See chart. The pattern is seen from the right side.

Front: Cast on 36-40-44 sts and knit rib. When the piece measures 8 cm, change to stockinette st. Inc 1 st at each side when the piece measures:
Size S: 12 cm
Size M/L: 10 and 20 cm
Size XL: 9, 16 and 24 cm
= 38-44-50 sts. When the piece measures 25 cm continue with Pattern 1 to finished measurements - 1 edge st at each side is not knit in the pattern. When the piece measures 32-33-34 cm bind off 3 sts at right side and 2 sts at left side = 33-39-45 sts. Then dec 1 st for armhole at each side every other row 1-4-6 times = 31-31-33 sts. When the piece measures 48-50-52 cm put the center 9 sts on a st holder for the neck. Then dec 1 st at each neck edge every other row 2 times = 9-9-10 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 54-56-58 cm.

Back: Cast on and knit the same as the front. Bind off for armhole as on front and when the piece measures 52-54-56 cm bind off the center 11 sts for the neck. On the next row dec 1 st at each neck edge = 9-9-10 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 54-56-58 cm.

Sleeve: Cast on 22-24-24 sts. Knit rib for 12 cm, change to stockinette st. At the same time after the rib inc 1 st at each side every 6-5.5-5 cm 7 times = 36-38-38 sts. At the same time when sleeve measures 44-40-36 cm knit Pattern 1 to finished measurements. When sleeve measures 51-48-46 cm bind off for sleeve cap at each side every other row: 3 sts 1 time and then 2 sts at each side until the piece measures 57-58-58 cm. Bind off the remaining sts.

Assembly: Sew right shoulder. Pick up approx. 34 to 38 sts around the neck (incl. sts on st holder) and knit as follows (seen from the right side): P 1 row, K 1row, then knit rib. Bind off when the collar measures 12 cm. Sew left shoulder and collar. Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams.

Tya 16.11.2013 - 12:36:

It says to increase the stitch 1 st at each side when the piece is 12 cm, does this mean that the rib count also or i should do stockinette st for 12 and then increase it?

DROPS Design 18.11.2013 kl. 09:18:

Dear Tya, for sleeve you work 12 cm rib then continue in stockinette, and start at the same time inc each side every 6-5.5-5 cm 7 times. Happy knitting!

Struve, Martina Charlotte 12.11.2013 - 09:24:
