Materials: Drops Karisma Superwash from Garnstudio
300 (300-350) g in colour no 5, black
250 (250-300) g in colour no 16, grey
50 (50-50) g in colour no 1, cream
50 (50-50) g in colour no 52, mustard

Drops Circular Needles, long (80cm): size 2,5mm and 4mm
Drops Circular Needles, short (40cm), or double pointed needles: size 2,5mm and 4mm, or the size needed to obtain the correct knitting tension.

Pattern instructions

Knitting Tension: 20sts x 26 rows on needles size 4 mm in stocking st
= 10x10cm.

Hem: 3 cm stocking st, P 1 row (=fold – all measurements are taken from here), change to grey and work 3 cm stocking st.

Pattern: See diagram (1 diagram = 1 repeat). Pattern is read from right to left, and is seen from RS. Pattern is worked in stocking st.

Back and Front knitted as one piece in the round, then divided at armhole and back and front knitted separately.

Body: Cast on 184 (190-196) sts on long circ needle size 2.5mm with black. Work hem. Change to circ needle size 4mm and at the same time inc 40 (50-60) sts evenly on first round = 224 (240-256) sts. Remember to check your tension. Continue in stocking st until piece measures 26 (27-28) cm. Work M.1, then finish in black. At the same time when piece measures 29 (30-30) cm work next row as follows: Work 108 (116-124) sts across front, cast off 4 st for arm hole, work 108 (116-124) sts across back, cast off 4 sts for arm hole. Finish back and front separately.

Front: = 108 (116-124) sts. Dec for arm hole on every other row as follows: 2 sts 1 (2-3) times = 104 (108-112) sts. At the same time when piece measures 54 (55-56) cm, cast off centre 36 (38-38) sts for neck. Dec on neck edge on every other row as follows: 2 sts twice, 1 st once. Continue until piece measures 58 (59-60) cm. Cast off.

Back: =108 (116-124) sts. Dec for arm hole as on front = 104 (108-112) sts.
At the same time when piece measures 56 (57-58) cm, cast off centre 42 (44-44) sts for neck. Next row: Dec 2 sts each side on neck edge. Continue until piece measures 58 (59-60) cm. Cast off.

Sleeves: Cast on 46 (46-48) sts on short circ needle size 2.5mm with black. Work hem. Change to circ needle size 4mm, work stocking st and at the same time inc 8 (10-8) sts evenly on first round = 54 (56-56) sts. At the same time inc sts. underneath arm as follows: 2 sts 31 (30-32) times for S+L: every 3rd round and for M: *alternatively every 3, 3 and 4th round* =116 (116-120) sts. Continue until piece measures 39 (39-39) cm, work M.1 and then finish in black. At the same time when piece measures 45 (45-45) cm, cast off 8 sts underneath sleeve and finish each side separately working back and forth on needle. Dec each side on every other row as follows: 5 sts 5 times. Piece measures approx 50 (50-50) cm. Cast off.

Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approx 108 sts around neck on short circ needle size 2.5mm with black, and work M.2 (but turn repeat upside down), change to grey, K 2 rounds, P1 round ( = fold), 3 cm stocking st. Cast off. Fold hems towards WS and sew. Attach sleeves to body.
