Thank you for response on my question for decrease on front of pattern 33-1. So is the decrease 1st on each side of armhole every other row?
24.10.2021 - 12:12DROPS Design answered:
Dear Ava, you decrease from the edge stitch. You decrease 2 stitches from the beginning of the row, you work until the end of the row and turn and then you decrease the first 2 stitches from the edge stitches, on the other side. Because it's more than 1 stitch, you can't decrease 2 stitches on each side in the same row, but you will decrease on each side only in 1 row and not in the previous/ next one. Then, when you only have to decrease 1 stitch on each side, you can decrease on both sides in the same row. Happy knitting!

Started front of pattern 33-1. Please explain the decrease pattern. Is it 2 sts or 3 on the decrease.
23.10.2021 - 12:04DROPS Design answered:
Dear Ava, for teh armohole you decrease 2 stitches once, then 1 stitches 2 (4-6) times (depending on the size.) For the neck, after casting off the center 31 (32-33) stitch then decrease 3 sts twice, 2 sts 4 times, 1 st 4 times for the neck. Happy Stitching!

Working on pattern 33-1 slowly but surely. Just changed to us 6 needles for the body. In the directions it says next round *M2 4 system in stockinette st* , repeat from * entire round. What does this mean exactly?
05.10.2021 - 04:33DROPS Design answered:
Hi Ava, You work M.2, and 4 stitches in stockinette, M.2 and 4 stitches in stockinette, repeat until you reach the end of the round. Happy knitting!

I am trying to make this sweater both in long and short version and have many questions. First of all is this done in rounds or back and forth, is the body considered the back of the sweater. Very confused with this pattern diagram.
29.09.2021 - 14:18DROPS Design answered:
Dear Ava, body is first worked in the round, bottom up, to the armhole, then front and back piece are worked separately back and forth. This lesson should help you to understand how to read knitting diagrams. Happy knitting!

Pattern says'dec. each side on every other row as follows: 4 sts 6 times. Does this mean 4 sts each side or 2 sts each side. This is on the sleeve. Would be helpful if it tells how many sts are left when you are done. Thank you.
30.04.2020 - 00:01DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Chenery, you cast off on sleeve 8 sts and cast off then 4 sts at the beginning of next 12 rows (= 4 sts are cast off a total of 6 times on each side) = you will cast off 8+(4x12)= 56 sts, there were 112 - 116 sts, 56-60 sts remain. Happy knitting!
