EGG - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
Work in the round top down. When the egg is done, cables a strand to thread through the strap to hang the egg.
EGGS:
Use hook size 3.5 mm and DROPS Paris colour vanilla. Work 10 chain stitches, work 1 slip stitch in 2nd stitch worked (strap). 1 chain stitch remains, next round should be worked in this chain stitch (cast-on stitch).
Read CROCHET INFORMATION, COLOUR CHANGE and COLOURS. Work diagram A.1 2 times in cast-on stitch (= 6 double crochets on 1st round). Make sure that the strap is on the outside of egg when first round is worked, fold the strap towards you so that you can work in the round in cast-on stitch.
Continue to work in the round according to diagram A.1 (2 times on round), and fill the egg with cotton wool when working. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION!
When diagram has been worked vertically, there are 6 double crochets on round.
Cut the yarn, use a needle and baste the strand through outermost loop of each of the 6 stitches. Tighten the yarn and fasten. Work another egg the same way.
TIE:
Cut 3 strand of colour vanilla, each of approx. 70 cm, tie a knot in one end to keep the strands together. Braid the strands, tie a new knot at the end of braid. Cut the ends even. Make 1 tie for each egg, pull tie through the loop to hang the egg.
