Hej Inger!

Row 2 (= RS): K sts on row until 1 st before marker, slip 1 st as if to K, K2 tog, psso, K remaining sts on row. Repeat row 1 and 2 until there is 1 st left on needle, cut the thread and pull through remaining st. KNITTING TIP: If you prefer not to sew tog all the squares you may pick up sts between the squares and continue. Pick up with colours as shown in diagram.1, with 18 sts on each side and 1 st between 2 squares from previous row of squares = 37 sts. -------------------------------------------------------- BAG: Worked in squares and sewn tog afterwards after diagram.1. Alternatively see KNITTING TIP! Cast on 37 sts on needle size 9 mm with Snow. Work DOMINO-SQUARE – see above. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Work squares as follows: 4 squares in 47m, light beige mix. 4 squares in 30, pink. 3 squares in 09, magenta. 3 squares in 36m, amethyst mix. 3 squares in 23, tan. 2 squares in 48m, beige mix. ASSEMBLY: Sew squares tog, edge to edge after diagram.1. Fold the square each side and sew tog a to a, b to b, c to c and d to d. The sides will have different lengths when sewn together. Sew sides tog stitch to stitch. If the sides gets wrinkled or uneven this will even out after felting. STRAP: Cast on 8 sts on needle size 9 mm with 23, tan, and work stocking st back and forth on needle until strap measures approx 110 cm. Cast off. Make 1 more strap in the same way. ASSEMBLY: Sew each strap tog, beg approx 5 cm in from one end and sew tog to a tube. Leave approx 5 cm at the other side also. Sew a strap to the inside of bag each side at the top. FLOWERS: Embroider flowers in different colours on the front of bag – see diagram.2. FELTING: Wash at 40 degrees with a detergent free of enzymes and optical bleach, with normal spin, but no pre-wash. After wash shape the bag while still wet, and leave to dry. AFTER FELTING: If the piece is not felted enough and is too big: Wash the piece one more time in the washing machine while it is still wet add a terry towel that measures approx. 50 x 70 cm - NOTE: Do not use a short program. If the piece has been felted too much and is too small: While the piece is still wet stretch it to the correct measurements, if the piece is dry, make sure to soak it first. Remember: All subsequent washes are as a normal wool garment. |
