Knitting tension: 16 sts x 22 rows on needles size 5mm in lace pattern = 10 x 10 cm Pattern: See diagram M.1 to M.7. Pattern viewed from RS. English translations for the wording in the diagrams are given at the bottom of this pattern, and they are given in the vertical order in which they appear in the diagram Garter st (in round on circular needles): 1st round K and 2nd round P. Garter st back and forth: Knit all rows. Decreasing tip (applies to neck): Dec for neckline within 4 sts garter sts as follows (all dec are done from RS): Before 4 garter sts: K2 tog. After 4 garter sts: Slip a sts as if to knit, K1, psso. Back and front pieces: Knit piece in the round. Double circular needles size 5 mm (or use 2 circular needles) and cast on 160-180-200 sts on 2 needles with Paris (this is done to ensure elasticity of cast on edge). Pull out the one needle. K 1 round and P 1 round. Continue as follows: Size S/M: Knit M.1A. Continue with M.1B (there are 144 sts on needle now). Then knit M.2. When M.2 is completed once in height continue with M.3. After M.3 piece measures approx 35 cm. Insert 4 marking threads in piece as follows: 1 marking thread at beg of round (= mid side), 1 marking thread in 37th st (mid front), 1 marking thread after 73rd st (mid opposite side) and 1 in 109th st (mid back). Continuing knit M.4A. Continue with M.4B. At the same time when piece measures 41 cm cast off 6 sts on each side for armhole (= 3 sts on each side of marking threads on sides). Knit back and front pieces separately. Size L: Knit M.1A. Continuing knit M.1C before the pattern is completed with M.1B (now there are 162 sts on needle). Then knit M.2. When M.2 has been knitted once in height continue with M.3. After M.3 piece measures approx 39 cm. Insert 4 marking threads into piece as follows: 1 marking thread at beg (= mid side), 1 marking thread in 41st sts (mid front), 1 marking thread after 81 sts (mid opposite side) and 1 marking thread in 122nd sts (mid back). Continuing knit M.4A. Continue with M.4B. At the same time when piece measures approx 43 cm cast off 6 sts on each side for armhole (= 3 sts on each side of marking threads on side). Knit front and back pieces separately. Size XL/XXL: Knit M.1A. Continuing knit M.1 C before the pattern finish with M.1B (now there are 180 sts on needle). Then knit M.2. When M.2 is completed once in height continue with M.3. Piece measures approx 39 cm. Insert 4 marking threads in piece as follows: 1 marking thread at beg of round (= mid side), 1 marking thread in 46th sts (= mid front), 1 marking thread after 91 sts (= mid side) and 1 marking thread in 136th sts (= mid back). Continuing knit M.4A. Continue with M.4C before this pattern finish off with M.4B. At the same time when piece measures approx 46 cm cast off 6 sts on each side for armhole (= 3 sts on each side of marking threads on side). Complete front and back pieces separately. Back piece: = 65-75-83 sts. Continue casting off for armhole on every other row: 2 sts 1-2-3 times and 1 st 1-2-3 times = 59-63-65 sts. When M.4B has been knitted once in height continue with M.5 until complete measurement. NOTE! Ensure a constant sts count. At the same time when piece measures 56-60-64 cm knit garter sts over middle 21-25-27 sts. Continue until piece measures 58-62-66 cm. Now cast off middle 13-17-19 sts for neckline and dec 1 st on each side on next row at neckline – read Decreasing tips = 22 sts left on each shoulder. Knit 4 sts garter st at neckline until piece measures 60-64-68 cm. Cast off loosely. Front piece: = 67-75-85 sts. Continue dec for armhole like on back piece. At the same time when M.4B is completed (piece measures approx 42-46-48 cm) cast off at marking thread mid front. Continue knitting piece in two parts. Left front piece: = Now continue with M.5 (NOTE! Ensure a constant sts count) until complete measurement, but knit 4 sts mid front in garter sts. At the same time dec for V-neck as follows –read Decreasing tips: Dec 1 st on every other row 6-7-9 times and 1 sts on every 4th row 2 times. When all dec for armhole and V-neck are completed 22 sts are left for shoulder and when piece measures 60-64-68 cm cast off loosely. Right front piece: Knit like left front piece but reversed. NOTE: Knit 1st row from mid front. Start by picking up 1 st that was cast off mid front and knit tog with 1st st on row (do this to avoid a “nick” at bottom of V-neck). Sleeve: Knit piece around. Double circular needles size 5 mm (or use 2 circular needles) and cast on 48 sts on 2 needles with Paris (this is done to ensure elasticity of cast on edge). Pull out the one needle and insert 1 marking thread at beg of round and K1 round and P1 round. Continuing knit M.6A. Size L and XL/XXL: Continue with M.6C. All sizes: Complete pattern with M.6B (now there are 42 sts on needle) and K1 round. Continuing knit M.7. When M.7 is knitted 1 time in height K1 round at the same time inc 3 sts evenly = 45 sts. Continue with M.2. When M.2 is knitted once in height K1 round at the same time inc 3 sts evenly = 48 sts. Continue with M.7. After M.7 K 2 rounds and P 1 round before continuing with M.5 until complete measurement. NOTE! Ensure a constant sts count. At the same time when piece measure approx 24-28-28 cm (now M.5 has been started) inc 1 sts on each side of marking threads on every 6.5 – 2.5- 1.5 cm 4-7-10 times in total= 56-62-68 sts. Incorporate new sts into pattern continuously. When piece measures 47-47-44 cm cast off 6 sts mid under sleeve (i.e. 3 sts on each side of marking thread) = 50-56-62 sts. Cast off to shape sleeve cap each side on every other row: 2 sts 2-3-3 times and 1 st 4-3-5 times. Continuing cast off 2 sts each side until piece measures 55-56-56 cm, then cast off 3 sts 1 time each side. Cast off remaining sts, piece measures approx 56-57-57 cm. Assembly: Sew shoulder seam. Sew in sleeves. English translations for the diagram: = K from RS, P from WS = P from RS, K from WS = yo = slip 1 st as if to knit, K2 tog, psso = slip 1 st as if to knit, K1, psso = K2 tog = P2 tog from RS, K2 tog from WS |
