Hi Alexis, You can find information about the various yarns under 'all yarns'. For this pattern, 50 g of Eskimo = approx 55 yds (50 m). 50g of Alaska = approx 77 yds (70 m). Happy knitting!

Knitting tension: 10 sts x 17 rows moss stitch with 2 threads Snow = 10 x 10 cm Moss stitch: 1st row: * K1, P1 * repeat from *-* and finish with 1 K. 2nd row: K over P and P over K. Repeat 2nd row. HEAD BAND Cast on 13 sts on needle size 8 mm with 2 threads Snow. Knit moss stitch - see explanation above – until piece measures approx 46 cm. Cast off K over K and P over P. Sew head band tog in outermost edge mid back. SCARF Knitting tension: 16 sts x 20 rows stocking sts = 10 x 10 cm Pattern: See diagram M.1 to M.3. Diagrams are seen from RS. Scarf: Cast on 46 sts on needle size 5.5 mm with Alaska. Knit 4 rows garter sts. At the same time on 4th row inc 8 sts evenly = 54 sts. Continue knitting as follows (from RS): 5 sts garter sts, M.1 (= 10 sts), M.2 (= 24 sts), M.3 (= 10 sts) and 5 sts garter sts.
