Salutations

Bon tricot!

Knitted DROPS hat and neck warmer with lace pattern in ”Polaris”.
DROPS 150-29 |

PATTERN: See diagram A.1. The diagram shows all rows in pattern seen from RS. TIP FOR SWITCHING YARN: When switching ball with Polaris split the old yarn and the new yarn and cut away approx. 5 cm of half. Place them tog, moisten and twine tog between the palms. ---------------------------------------------------------- HAT: Worked back and forth on circular needle. READ TIP FOR SWITCHING YARN! Cast on 35-37 sts on needle size 12 mm with Polaris (let the yarn end be approx. 50 cm for sewing the hat tog when finished). Work in stocking st. When piece measures 4-4 cm, work 0-2 sts in stocking st at beg of row. Then on same row work PATTERN according to diagram A.1 (= 5 sts) over all 35-35 sts. Continue with pattern until piece measures approx. 19-20 cm. Insert 6 markers in the piece. Insert first marker after 4 sts, then insert markers 6 sts apart (= 1-3 sts after last marker). Then work in stocking st over all sts. AT THE SAME TIME on every row from RS dec 1 st on right side of every marker by K 2 tog (= 6 dec on row). Repeat dec 2 more times (= 3 times in total) = 17-19 sts on row. Piece measures approx. 27-28 cm. On next row from RS work all sts tog 2 by 2 = 9-10 sts. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining sts, tighten tog and fasten. Sew hat tog, sew in front loop of outermost st to avoid a chunky seam. NECK WARMER: Cast on 45 sts on circular needle size 15 mm with Polaris. Work in stocking st in the round. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! READ TIP FOR SWITCHING YARN! Continue like this for 4 cm. Then work PATTERN according to diagram A.1 (= 5 sts) over all 45 sts. Continue with pattern until piece measures approx. 24 cm. Then work in stocking st. Cast off when piece measures approx. 28 cm. |
