Form a ring with 1 sl st in 4th ch from hook, this is the top of the cone. 1st round: 4 dc in ch-ring. 2nd round: 2 dc in every dc = 8 dc. 3rd round: * 1 dc in first dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 12 dc. 4th-6th round: 1 dc in every dc = 12 dc. 7th round: * 1 dc in first dc, then crochet 2 dc tog *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 8 dc. 8th round: 1 dc in every dc = 8 dc. 9th round: Work all dc tog 2 by 2 = 4 dc.
