Bon tricot!

What does it mean in the pattern “Work A.19–10-11-11(12-13) times in total around the hat and finish with the 4-4-0-4(4-0) first stitches in A.1” Please clarify, Thank you.
21.10.2026 - 21:36DROPS Design answered:
Hi Bev, The text should read "Work A.19 a total of 9-10-11-11(12-13) times on the round = the correct number of repeats in width for your size. Then you work the first 4-4-0-4(4-0) stitches in the diagram across the last 4-4-0-4(4-0) stitches on the round. Where there is a 0 you do not need to do this as the repeats of A.19 have completed the round. Regards, Drops Team.

Hej Linnea, du fortsætter med ret over ret og vrang over vrang, men når du minskar vil ribben ikke gå op i 2r, 2v længere :)

Bon tricot!

Switch to double pointed needles when needed. HAT: Cast on 76-84-88-92 (100-104) stitches on double pointed needles or a short circular needle size 3.5 mm with DROPS Merino Extra Fine. Work rib (= knit 2/purl 2). When hat measures 17-18-19-21 (21-22) cm, work next round as follows: Work A.1 9-10-11-11 (12-13) times in total around the hat and finish with the 4-4-0-4 (4-0) first stitches in A.1. When A.1 has been worked 1 time vertically, there are 38-42-44-46 (50-52) stitches on needle. Decrease as follows: ROUND 1: * Knit 2 together, knit 2 *, work from *-* until 2-2-0-2 (2-0) stitches remain and finish with knit 2-2-0-2 (2-0) = 29-32-33-35 (38-39) stitches. ROUND 2: Knit all stitches. ROUND 3: * Knit 1, knit 2 together*, work from *-* until 2-2-0-2 (2-0) stitches remain and finish with knit 2-2-0-2 (2-0) = 20-22-22-24 (26-26) stitches. ROUND 4: Knit all stitches together 2 by 2 = 10-11-11-12 (13-13) stitches. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining stitches, tighten together and fasten. Hat measures approx. 22-23-24-26 (26-27) cm from top and down. Fold the bottom 7 cm, for a double or single folding edge. If you fold it double, sew a couple of stitches so that the double edge is held up. |
