I have been searching on your website for a sizing guide. Do you have one? I'm trying to figure out what size is a XL,XXL

Dear Mrs Hass, scrolling down the page you'll find a measurement chart: compare them with a skirt you have and you like and you'll find the right size. Happy knitting!

I am knitting the white diamond skirt and I am on row 30. The diagram for this row and row 48 are not in line with the rest of the diagram. Is this just an error and they should be moved in line? If not, what am I supposed to do. Another question. My diagram is upside down from what it actually shows on the skirt pattern picture. I am in the process of writing the pattern out so I can just reverse it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. :-}

Dear Mrs Bang, when reading the chart from bottom up, you will work on row 17 the last st on round tog with 1st st on 1st repeat (YO = 1st st on round) and then work the last st on each repeat tog with the 1st st on next repeat - On row 35 (read from bottom up) work the last st on last repeat in A.1 tog with 1st st at beg of next repeat and tog with 1st st at beg of round when working last repeat (the YO will be then 1st st on round). Happy knitting!

I'm working on this pattern now but am a little confused about the pattern shift. On row 17 of chart a.1 does the pattern shift right or left? Should I us a stitch from the previous repeat or skip the first stitch of the round & use it on the last repeat?
07.01.2016 - 19:49DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Jackson, at the beg of row 17, work last st on row 16 tog with first st on row 17, and the last st on each repeat with the first st of next repeat. Happy knitting!

I want to make this but need help on the sizing please. What are the waist measurements for the various sizes? I have a daughter who Wears a US size 7 pants with a 29 inch waist! Thank you
26.03.2015 - 21:23DROPS Design answered:
Dear Greta, you will find at the bottom of the pattern a measurement chart with all measures taken flat from side to side - in cm, click here to convert into inc. Compare these to a similar garment she has and like the shape to find out the correct size. Happy knitting!

Hi again, I'm having trouble understanding the increases. The first two increases are ok, 4 sts in row 1 after the folding edge, and another 4 sts in row 6. Could you then please explain this part: " then every 4th round 2-4-2-10-10-18 times, then every other round 24-24-31-18-20-7 times = 250-270-302-306-334-338 sts."? - is ist correct that for size L it should be "2 times"? - what do you mean by "times" in this case? Thanks very much for the help!
21.02.2015 - 22:52DROPS Design answered:
Dear Pia, in size L you start with 162 sts then inc 4 sts per inc row: a total of 2 times every 6 round (8 sts inc) + 2 times every 4 round (8 sts inc) + 31 times every 2 rounds (124 sts inc) = a total of 302 sts when all sts are increased. Happy knitting!

Hi, I am about to start knitting the "White Diamond" skirt (DROPS 159-18). The pattern says I need circular needles size 4 mm in 60 and 80 cm length. I'm assuming I need to start with the 60 cm one but do I switch to the larger one at some point? Thanks!
14.02.2015 - 18:33DROPS Design answered:
Dear Pia, that's right, you start with the 60 cm one and then when you will have too much sts for the 60 cm, just switch to the 80 cm one. Happy knitting!

Repeat inc every 6th round 1 more time, then every 4th round 2-4-2-10-10-18 times, then every other round 24-24-31-18-20-7 times = 250-270-302-306-334-338 sts. When piece measures 25-27-29-31-33-35 cm, inc 22-2-4-0-6-2 st evenly = 272-272-306-306-340-340 sts. Then work A.1 (= 34 sts) 8-8-9-9-10-10 times in total in width. When A.1 has been worked 1 time vertically, work A.2 over all sts. Cast off. ASSEMBLY: Fold the hem double towards the WS and fasten with neat stitches. Leave a little opening to thread the elastic through. |
