HELP ! HELP ! HELP !

Bon tricot!

I noticed that there is a correction but can't find it. It also seems to me that there should be some sort of shaping to make the turn at the heel (like a gusset). Is that the correction? And, if so, where is that correction?

Dear Lauretta, if there is a correction of a pattern, you can find it by clicking on the link (with red letters) below the pattern. Happy Knitting!

Highland Dew Slippers There is no indication which states which part of the slipper should be measured. In Norwegian it does state the decrease starts at 17 cm of stocking stitch. Please add this information to the English instructions.

GARTER ST, back and forth on needle: K all rows. DECREASING TIP-1: Dec 1 st by K tog 2nd and 3rd st from each side. DECREASING TIP-2: K tog into back of loop the last 2 sts before marker, and K tog the first 2 sts after marker. PATTERN: See diagram M.1. The entire pattern is worked in stocking st. SLIPPER: Worked back and forth on needle. Cast on 48-48-48 sts on needle size 4.5 mm with light brown mix. Work GARTER ST – see above – with shortened rows as follows: 1 row on all sts, * work 6 sts, turn piece and work return row, work 1 row on all sts *. Repeat from *-* until piece measures 4 cm measured in the middle for all sizes. Continue in garter st. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 8-9-10 cm (measured in the middle), dec 1 st each side. Repeat on every 4th row a total of 3 times – see DECREASING TIP-1 = 42-42-42 sts. When piece measures 11-12-13 cm cast off 3 sts at the beg of the next 2 rows = 36-36-36 sts. Change to double pointed needles size 5 mm (from RS). Work 18 stocking sts with light brown mix. Insert a marker (= mid under foot). Now continue in the round (round beg by marker), AT THE SAME TIME work PATTERN on all sts – see above. Insert 1 marker each side of foot, with 18 sts on upper foot and 18 sts under foot. AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 17-19-21 cm dec 1 st on each side of both markers and repeat the dec on every other row a total of 5-5-5 times – see DECREASING TIP- 2 = 16-16-16 sts left on round (part of the pattern has now been dec). Now work 1 round stocking st with light brown mix, AT THE SAME TIME K2 tog across the round = 8-8-8 sts. Piece measures approx 22-24-26 cm. Cut the thread, pull through remaining sts and fasten. ASSEMBLY: Place the garter st edges over each other at the top of foot and fasten each side so that they overlap. Point the overlap in the opposite direction on the other slipper. Sew tog mid back. |
