Hilsen Drops Team.

Will you be making a pattern for a scarf using that same design?
24.12.2025 - 15:28DROPS Design answered:
Hi Chantal, I sent your question to our Design department. I would knit the scarf using thinner yarn and knitting in the round, this way long strands would be hidden inside the scarf. One side of the scarf would be the right side of M1 diagram, but repeated (e.g. 3 times) and another side would be the left side of M1 diagram (3 repetitions). There are so many options:) Happy knitting!

Is it correct that these are knitted back and forth and then stiched together on the side when finished? Sorry for the darft question - I used knit mittens with 4 needles ages ago so this is something new. Thank you

Hi Ruth, The mittens are worked in the round with double pointed needles. Happy knitting!

Continue in the round in M.1. When dec at the top of M.1 dec each side of the off-white st each side with lavender. Dec as follows before the off-white st: K2 tog. Dec as follows after the off-white st: slip 1 st as if to K, K1, psso. After all dec there are 12 sts left on needle, cut the threads, pull through remaining sts, tighten and fasten. THUMB: Slip the 13 thumb sts back on double pointed needles size 3.5 mm and pick up 9 sts behind thumb = 22 sts. Continue in the round in M.2. Dec each side of the lavender st each side (dec with off-white). Dec as follows before the lavender st: K2 tog. Dec as follows after the lavender st: slip 1 st as if to K, K1, psso. After all dec there are 6 sts left on needle, cut the threads, pull though remaining sts, tighten and fasten. RIGHT MITTEN: Cast on and work like left mitten, but mirrored, i.e. work the 3 black squares in diagram in st no 4, 5, and 6 from the right side of diagram. |
