Even afwachten dus...

Hi, I’m completely stuck on how to transition from A.1a to A.2. I finish A.1a with a knit and a purl rib - however A.2 expects me to have a yarn over and a slipped stitch to purl. If I don’t follow the pattern of A.1a and end with a yarn over/slip stitch and one purled I can’t get it to add up to the pattern of A.2, even when I treat the yarn over/slip stitch as one stitch as I will be expected to just knit 1/purl 1 when it’s taking a slip stitch with it! Thank you!

Dear Eyrun, make sure you have printed the lattest verstion of the diagrams - a correction has been made there, after A.1a (finish A.1a after a row like the last one = starting with K tog slipped st and yarn over), work A.2 (English rib starts now with yo, slip 1 as if to P) and then work A.2a. Happy knitting!

Hej.

Bon tricot!

Hi Esther, Charts A.1 and A.1a are to the left of A.2. A.2a is included in A.2. Happy knitting!

Hello! While kniting the A.2a section I've got puzzeled. A.2a consists of 11 vertical rows, the english rib rotates each row at the beginning and in the end of the rapport. Why the 11th row and the 1st row of A.2a section are the same at the beggining? At the 11th row I've got on my needles a yarn over and a slipped stitch, how am I supposed to make another yarn over and a slipped stich again in the 1st row? Thank you for your help in advance.
06.11.2020 - 23:44DROPS Design answered:
Dear Alesya, diagram will be edited - thanks for your feedback, you should continue working the 3 sts on each side of diagram in English rib - ie in height alternately: make 1 yarn over, slip 1 and knit together slipped stitch and yarn over. Happy knitting!

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 and A.2. See diagram for your size (applies to A.2). ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- HAT - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Worked in the round on circular needle, bottom up. Switch to double pointed needles when needed. HAT: Cast on 80-90 stitches on circular needle size 4 mm with Air. Work A.1 (= 2 stitches) over all stitches, when the 3 first rounds in A.1 have been worked, repeat A.1a upwards. Continue with A.1a until piece measures 3 cm. Then work A.2 (= 16-18 stitches) 5 times in total in width. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When first round of A.2 has been worked, there are 75-85 stitches on needle. Switch to circular needle size 5 mm and work A.2a. Repeat A.2a vertically until piece measures 18-19 cm. Work A.2b over A.2a - AT THE SAME TIME the cable from A.2a continues in A.2b until there is not enough stitches for a whole cable (due to decreases). When A.2b has been worked 1 time vertically, there are 10-15 stitches on needle. Work all stitches together 2 by 2. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining stitches, tighten together and fasten. Hat measures approx. 24-25 cm. |
