Sukkapuikko no 8? Mikä koko tämä oikein on? Millimetrejäkö? Sehän on ihan suunnattoman iso.

Käsineet neulotaan paksulla langalla, joten tämän takia myös puikkokoko on iso.

I am trying to find info on the twist increase yo stitch. Can you show a video on how to do it? The videos I watch do not have the yo.
24.01.2021 - 21:52DROPS Design answered:
Dear Stitch, this video shows how to increase for a thumb making yarn overs and working yarn overs twisted on next row (= in the back of loop instead of in the front loop). See also this video showing how to increase with a yarn over. Happy knitting!

What does end of pattern mean "left hand same as right hand but in reverse" where does the finger portion go?
16.02.2019 - 13:02DROPS Design answered:
Dear Olga, you will first work the sts for palm and then the sts for top of hand, ie start rib with P3 and insert the marker for thum in the 11th st from beg of round. Happy knitting!

Hi. In the mittens pattern shown above (103-25), the pattern says to knit the thumb stitches. The picture sure looks like the thumb stitches are meant to be purled.

Knitting tension: 11 sts x 15 rows in stocking sts = 10 x 10 cm Increasing tips: When inc. make a yo. On the following row twist and K the yo (i.e knit into the back part of yo instead of the front part) to avoid a hole. Right hand glove: Knit round on double pointed needles. Cast on 24-30 sts on double pointed needles size 8 mm with Snow. Knit Rib as follows: Size S/M: * P3, K3 *, repeat from *-*. Size L/XL: * K3, P3 *, repeat from *-*. When the piece measures 10-12 cm insert a marking thread (MT) in the 14th – 17th st (i.e. in the middel st of 3 P sts) = gusset of the thumb, continue to measure from this point onwards. There are now 13-16 sts at the top of the hand and 10-13 sts inside the palm of the hand. Continue in Rib as before. At the same time when the piece measures 1 cm inc. 1 st each side of the MT – read increasing tips above – on every 3-2 .cm a total of 2-3 times = 5-7 sts for the gusset of the thumb. P new sts. When the piece measures 6-7 cm put these 5-7 sts + 1 P st each side (=7-9 thumb sts) on a thread or a stitch holder). Cast on 1 new st behind the gusset (K this st = 7 K sts) = 22-28 sts in total. Continue to knit until until the piece measures approx. 10-12 cm from the MT. Keep 9-12 sts on needle, put the next 7 sts on a thread or a stitch holder and keep the last 6-9 sts on needle. Little finger + ring finger + middle finger: Cast on 1 new st towards the sts on the thread = 16-22 sts on needle. P over all sts and knit round until the piece measures 17-20 cm form the MT. Knit the sts tog. 2 by 2 = 8 -11 sts left on needle. Repeat one more time = 4-6 sts left needle. Pull the thread through the remaining sts and sew tight. Index finger: Put the 7 sts from the thread on the needle. Pick up 1 st towards the middle finger = 8 sts. K over all sts and knit round until the the finger measures approx. 6-7 cm then knit all sts tog. 2 by 2. Pull the thread through the remaining sts and sew tight. Thumb: Put the 7-9 thumb sts back on needle. P over all sts and work in the round until the thumb measures approx. 5.5 – 6 cm, then P the sts tog 2 by 2. Pull the thread through the remaining sts and sew tight. Left glove: Work as right glove but reverse. Assembly: Sew with grafting sts in between the middle and index finger to avoid a hole |
