Crochet 2 love knots, 1 dc in the last but one love knot from previous row, * 1 love knot, 1 dc in next love knot *, repeat from *-* (makes an even edge) to the end of the side, work 2 love knots (= corner), continue along the longer side of blanket, 1 dc in next love knot, * 1 love knot, 1 dc in next love knot *, repeat from *-* to the end of this side, work 2 love knots (= corner), continue along the next side (= first row of blanket), 1 dc in next love knot, * 1 love knot, 1 dc in next love knot *, repeat from *-* to the end of this side and finish with 2 love knots and 1 sl st in ch from beg of row 1 of blanket. TASSEL: Work 1 dc in the corner of blanket, work 8 ch and finish with 1 sl st in dc from beg. Cut 22 threads measuring approx 30 cm each, fold them double and pull through the crochet loop with the folded part at the top of loop by blanket edge. Spread the threads over the loop and wind one of the threads round the top of tassel and loop to hold the tassel in place. Fasten the thread. Repeat at the other 3 corners. |
