Hei Marie.

I don't understand how to make the loop increases.

Dear Steph, to inc 1 loop each side you have to crochet like this : ch 8, 1 sc in first ch-loop, ch 7, sc in same ch-loop, *ch 7, 1 sc in the next ch-loop *, repeat from * - * across to last 2 ch-loops, (sc, ch7, sc) in next ch-loop, ch7 sc in last ch-loop, turn. Happy Crocheting !

DROPS 82-21 |

Crochet tension: Remember hook size is only a guide! 4 chain-spaces in width and 6 rows in height with hook size 3.5 mm = 10 x 10 cm. -------------------------------------------------------- Back piece: Work 105-121-137-153 chain stitches (incl. 1 chain stitch to turn) with hook size 3.5 mm and Vivaldi, then work 1 double crochet in each chain stitch (start in 2nd chain stitch from hook) = 104-120-136-152 double crochets, turn piece. The next row is worked as follows: 8 chain stitches (incl. 1 chain stitch to turn), skip 7 stitches, 1 double crochet in next stitch, * 7 chain stitches, skip 7 stitches, 1 double crochet in next stitch *, repeat from *-* = 13-15-17-19 chain-spaces, turn piece. Then work as follows: 8 chain stitches (incl. 1 chain stitch to turn), 1 double crochet around first chain-space, * 7 chain stitches, 1 double crochet around next chain-space *, repeat from *-* to end of row and turn piece. Continue in this way upwards. Remember the crochet tension! When piece measures 12 cm, increase in each side by working 1 extra space in the next outermost space in each side. Repeat the increase when piece measures 24 cm = 17-19-21-23 chain-spaces. When piece measures 34-35-36-37 cm decrease for armholes as follows: Size XS/S: Work as before until there is 1 chain-space left, turn piece, work slip stitches to middle of first chain-space, continue with chain-spaces and repeat the decrease in the other side - or work according to diagram 1A Sizes M + L: Follow decreases in Size XS/S: 1 time, turn piece and work back until there is 1 chain-space, turn piece, continue with chain-spaces and repeat the decrease in the other side - or work according to diagram 1B. Size XL: Follow decreases in Size XS/S: 2 times - or work according to diagram 1A 2 twice. You have now decreased 2-3-3-4 chain-spaces in each side = 13-13-15-15 chain-spaces on row. Continue working as before. When piece measures 52-54-56-58 cm decrease for neck by working 1 row of chain-spaces over just 4-4-5-5 chain-spaces in each side (do not work the middle 5 spaces). Cut strand, piece measures approx. 54-56-58-60 cm. Right front piece: Work 57-65-73-81 chain stitches (incl. 1 chain stitch to turn) with hook size 3.5 mm and Vivaldi, then work 1 double crochet in each chain stitch (start in 2nd chain stitch from hook) = 56-64-72-80 double crochets, turn piece. Continue working as for back piece = 7-8-9-10 chain-spaces. When piece measures 12 and 24 cm increase in the side as for back piece = 9-10-11-12 chain-spaces. When piece measures 34-35-36-37 cm decrease for armhole in the one side as for back piece = 7-7-8-8 chain-spaces left. When piece measures 44-46-48-50 cm decrease for neck by following the armhole decreases for Sizes M + L: 1 time = 4-4-5-5 chain-spaces left on shoulder. Continue working unit piece measures 54-56-58-60 cm, cut strand. Left front piece: Work as for right, but reversed. Sleeve: Work 81-81-89-97 chain stitches (incl. 1 chain stitch to turn) with hook size 3.5 mm and Vivaldi, then work 1 double crochet in each chain stitch (start in 2nd chain stitch from hook) = 80-80-88-96 double crochets, turn piece, then work as for body = 10-10-11-12 chain-spaces. After 6-4-4-4 rows of chain-spaces (piece measures approx. 10-7-7-7 cm) increase by working 1 extra chain-space in next outermost space on the one side, work 6-4-4-4 rows and increase in the same way in the other side. Repeat the increase in each side 1-2-2-2 more times with 6-4-4-4 rows between each increase = 14-16-17-18 chain-spaces on row. When piece measures 47-44-44-42 cm decrease for sleeve cap by working 4-6-6-8 rows with 1 chain-space less at the end of each row. Cut strand, piece measures approx. 54-54-54-55 cm. Assembly: Work the shoulder seam on the jacket as follows: 1 slip stitch in first chain-space on back piece, 4 chain stitches, 1 double crochet in first chain-space on front piece, 4 chain stitches, 1 double crochet on next chain-space on back piece, etc. Work sleeve and side seams in the same way. Then work in sleeves in the same way. Hood: Work approx. 14 to 18 chain-spaces (with 7 chain stitches in each space as before) around neck with hook size 3.5 mm and Vivaldi. On the next row, increase evenly spaced (by working 2 chain-spaces in some of the spaces) to 20-22-22-22 chain-spaces. Work chain-spaces upwards until piece measures approx. 30 to 34 cm, lay hood double and work the top together in the same way as the shoulder seams. Tie cord: Twist 2 cords for the opening in neck-front. 1 cord = Cut 3 strands Vivaldi of 2 metres each, twist them together until they begin to resist, they will continue to twist. Tie a knot in each end. The cord will be approx. 60 cm. Twist 1 more cord. Fasten the one cord approx. 1 row below the neckline and the other approx. 15 cm further down - the cord is fastened around a chain-space on the one front piece. When closing the neck, tie the cord to the same chain-space on the other front piece. |
