Grazie mille!

Please see my question on 12/24/2020. Thank you so much for your reply and on a holiday as well. So kind of you. However, I still do not understand how I should be knitting; I think the misunderstanding may have to do with the translation. I have 81 stitches on my circular needle and I have just completed the round for Decrease 1. What stitch(es) do I use for the first round after Decrease 1. What stitch(es) do I use for round 2. Thank you so much for your patience.

Hi Gail, the first round after Decrease 1: knit in the round; the second round: knit 1, *purl 1, knit 2* repeat 26 times, purl 1, knit 1. Happy knitting!

Hi, I am knitting Polar Protector hat, Drops 204-54. I just finished Decrease 1 and have 81 stitches on my needle in the round. I am to continue with knit over knit and garter stitch over garter stitch. What does this mean? Do I knit Round 1 to the end of the round and Round 2 purl to the end of the round for 1 1/8 inches? Or is there another explanation? Thank you so much. Gail Thorpe

Hi Gail! Rounds impair: knit in the round, Rounds pair: repeat *purl 1, knit 1* in the round. Happy knitting!

Hei! Hva menes med rille i dette partiet? ‘Fortsett rundt med rett over rett og rille over rille i 3 cm.’ Mvh Helle
11.09.2020 - 12:54DROPS Design answered:
Hei Helle.

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagram A.1. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- HAT – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The piece is worked in the round with circular needle, bottom up. Change to double pointed needles when necessary. HAT: Cast on 108-112-116 stitches with circular needle size 3.5 mm and Karisma. Insert a marker at the beginning of the round. Work pattern A.1 in the round. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When the piece measures 23-25-27 cm (adjust so last row is a row with knit stitches only), start to decrease as follows: DECREASE 1: * Knit 2 together, purl 1, knit 1 *, work from *-* to end of round (= 27-28-29 stitches decreased) = 81-84-87 stitches. Continue working in the round with knit over knit and garter stitch over garter stitch for 3 cm. DECREASE 2: * Knit 1, knit 2 together *, work from *-* to end of round (= 27-28-29 stitches decreased) = 54-56-58 stitches. All garter stitches have now gone. Continue in the round with stocking stitch for 3 cm. DECREASE 3: Now knit all stitches together 2 and 2 = 27-28-29 stitches. Work stocking stitch for 1 cm and then knit all stitches together again 2 and 2 = 13-14-14 stitches left on round. Cut the strand, pull it through the remaining stitches, tighten and fasten well. The hat measures approx. 31-33-35 cm (23-25-27 cm with 8 cm fold-up at the bottom). |
