Evnt klikk her: DROPS 130-2 mvh DROPS Design

On the Short Rows instructions you have in parenthesis (no turns in the lace pattern) I don;t understand where that applies, could you please explain to me? I will appreciate your answer Thanks Chris

Dear Chris, this just means that, when there are no more stitches other than those in the lace pattern, you stop working short rows. Happy knitting!

I love this pattern. However, I don't understand parts of the instructions. What do M.1A and M.1B mean? What is RS (an abbreviation used in the "right edge piece" section). What is "dec" (in the same section of the pattern.) Are the "right edge piece" and "left edge piece" the two front panels?

Gracias Vivian! Mira, es muy fácil. Una vez has entrado a la página del patrón buscas la ventana a la derecha de la fotografía del modelo que dice "imprimir patrón". También existe otra ventana que dice "compartir con una amiga", si es que así lo deseas. Saludos!!

DROPS vest in garter st with lace pattern and short rows in "Alpaca" and "Kid-Silk". Size: S - XXXL.
DROPS 130-3 |
|||||||||||||||||||
GARTER ST (back and forth on needle): K all rows. PATTERN: See diagram M.1A (= 9 sts) and M.1B (= 9 sts). The diagram shows the pattern from RS. SHORT ROWS: Insert a marker after the 9 sts that belong to the lace edge. Work short rows to get a rounded form on the piece (no turns in the lace pattern). Work short rows as follows: 1st row: Work M.1A + 18-21-24-30-36-42 sts, turn piece. 2nd row: Work back. 3rd row: Work M.1A + 15-18-21-27-33-39 sts, turn piece. 4th row: Work back. 5th row: Work M.1A + 12-15-18-24-30-36 sts, turn piece. 6th row: Work back. 7th row: Work M.1A + 9-12-15-21-27-33 sts, turn piece. 8th row: Work back. Continue like this by working 3 sts less for every time until only M.1A has been worked back and forth 1 time. Then work 2 rows over all sts. Now 16-18-20-24-28-32 rows in garter st in the outer edge and 2 rows in garter st on the inside have been worked. Repeat from 1st row a total of 5 times. The rounded edge now measures approx. 23-26-29-34-40-46 cm on the outer side and 3 cm on the inside. -------------------------------------------------------- BACK PIECE: Worked back and forth on needle. Cast on 64-70-78-88-100-110 sts on needle size 4.5 mm with 1 thread Alpaca and 1 thread Kid-Silk (= 2 threads). Work in GARTER ST - see explanation above. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 1-1-2-2-2-2 cm, inc 1 st in each side. Repeat inc every 1½-1½-1½-2-2-2 cm a total of 6-6-5-4-4-4 times = 76-82-88-96-108-118 sts. When piece measures 10 cm, cast off and dec for armholes at beg of every row in each side as follows: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 1-2-3-4-6-7 times and 1 st 1-2-2-2-4-5 times = 64-64-66-70-70-74 sts. When piece measures 26-27-28-29-30-31 cm, cast off the middle 18-18-18-20-20-20 sts for neck and finish each shoulder separately. Then cast off 1 st on the next row from the neckline = 22-22-23-24-24-26 sts remain on the shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 28-29-30-31-32-33 cm. RIGHT EDGE PIECE: ALL MEASUREMENTS SHOULD BE DONE ON THE SHORTER SIDE! Cast on 30-33-36-42-48-54 sts (incl 1 edge st) on needle size 4.5 mm with 1 thread Alpaca and 1 thread Kid-Silk (= 2 threads). Work first row from RS as follows: M.1A - see explanation above (= lace edge), then work in garter st over the remaining sts. Continue the pattern like this. When piece measures 17-19-21-24-27-30 cm, work SHORT ROWS with start from RS - see explanation above. When 5 repetitions with short rows have been worked, insert a marker in the piece. NOW MEASURE PIECE FROM HERE! Now work in garter st back and forth on needle while at the same time continuing the lace pattern towards mid front as before. When piece measures 1-1-2-2-2-2 cm, start to inc in the side as on back piece = 27-30-32-37-43-49 sts + lace pattern. When piece measures 10 cm, cast off and dec for armhole in the side as on back piece (cast off and dec for armhole at the beg of row in the shorter side) = 21-21-21-24-24-27 sts + lace pattern. Continue in garter st and lace pattern until piece measures 28-29-30-31-32-33 cm. On next row from WS, cast off the outer 22-22-23-24-24-26 sts in the side for shoulder, work the rest of row. Continue to work the remaining sts for 8 cm in all sizes (measured from the shoulder). Cast off. LEFT EDGE PIECE: Work as right piece but reversed - and work M.1B at the end of row instead of M.1A at beg of row. NOTE! Adjust so that shoulder sts and collar sts are cast off on the same row of lace pattern as on right front piece. ASSEMBLY: Sew cast on edges on edge pieces tog mid back and sew them to the bottom edge of back piece inside 1 edge st. Sew the shoulder seams. Sew the side seam inside 1 edge st. Sew collar tog mid back and sew on to back of neck. SLEEVE EDGE: Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Knit up 54-59-63-69-74-78 sts on doubled pointed needles size 4.5 mm with 1 thread Alpaca and 1 thread Kid-Silk (= 2 threads). P 1 round, K 1 round, P 1 round (= 2 ridges (4 rows in garter st)). Loosely cast off. |
