How to sew together cast off edge in garter stitches

In this DROPS video we show 2 ways to sew together a piece worked in garter stitches. Fold the piece, RS against RS and sew the cast off edge together in the outermost loop so the seam is flat.

1. Insert the needle in the outermost loop of first stitch towards you then into the outermost loop of first stitch away from you
then into the outermost loop of the next stitch away from you and into the outermost loop of next stitch towards you and repeat this. We also show result of this technique looks like with a darker colour.

2. Insert the needle into the outermost stitch of first stitch towards you, then into the outermost loop of first stitch away from you, and repeat this. We also show result of this technique looks with a darker colour.
