Hi, Just wondering if anyone has written pattern instructions to the Spring Clean and what the multiple would be for this pattern. I am really really bad about charts and have a hard time figuring them out. I would appreciate any help in this, thank you and have a good day

Dear Debra, this is the only available version of the pattern, mixing charts and written instructions. A.2 and A.1 are both textured patterns of 5 and 10 stitches respectively (as shown in the charts). You have rows with rib sections, where you work from the right side knit 1 twisted, purl 1 and from the wrong side purl 1 twisted, knit 1. And stocking stitch sections (white squares) where you knit from the right side and purl from the wrong side. You can also read the following lesson to help you understand our knitting charts: https://www.garnstudio.com/lesson.php?id=68&cid=19. Happy knitting!

Hei.

Can your dishcloth patterns be printed without the chart, meaning a written pattern that you can follow without having to read the chart?
25.10.2021 - 19:45DROPS Design answered:
Dear Kimberly, if you mean whether we have written out patterns instead of teh diagrams, then no, we do not. However, we do have a lesson on how to read diagrams that might help you. Happy Stitching!

Buona giornata e grazie.

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (worked back and forth): Knit all rows. 1 ridge in height = Knit 2 rows. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 and A.2. The diagrams show all rows in the pattern from the right side. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- CLOTHS: The piece is worked back and forth on needle/circular needle. Work a total of 4 cloths, 1 in each colour. CLOTH: Cast on 57 stitches with Cotton Light and needle/circular needle size 3 mm. Work 2 RIDGES – read description above. Work 1 more ridge but on the first row increase 4 stitches evenly spaced = 61 stitches (you have worked a total of 3 ridges). Now work according to diagrams A.1 and A.2; the first row is from the right side. From the right side: Work 3 edge stitches in GARTER STITCH – read description above, work A.1 until there are 8 stitches left (= 5 repeats), A.2 over 5 stitches and 3 edge stitches in garter stitch. From the wrong side: Work 3 edge stitches in garter stitch, A.2 over 5 stitches, A.1 until there are 3 stitches left (= 5 repeats) and 3 edge stitches in garter stitch. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Continue working according to the diagrams like this until the piece measures approx. 23 cm; adjust to after 1 whole or 1 half repeat of the diagrams in height, so the next row is from the right side. Work 1 ridge but on the first row decrease 4 stitches evenly spaced = 57 stitches. Work 2 more ridges, then cast off with knit from the right side (you should have the same number of ridges as at the beginning of the piece). Cut and fasten the strand. |
