EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN:

----------------------------------------------------------

GARTER STITCH (worked in the round):
1 ridge = 2 rounds. Purl 1 round and knit 1 round.

PATTERN:
See diagrams A.1, A.2 and A.3. Diagrams show all rows in pattern seen from the right side

----------------------------------------------------------

START THE PIECE HERE:

----------------------------------------------------------

PILLOW:
Work pillow in the round on circular needle with pattern on the front side and stocking stitch on the back side. Pattern on the front measures approx. 40 cm. Sew it together in top and bottom edge.

Cast on 198 stitches on circular needle size 4 mm and work 2 ridges in GARTER STITCH - see explanation above. Then work pattern as follows: Work 4 stitches in stocking stitch, A.1a (= 2 stitches), * A.2a (= 10 stitches), A.3a (= 17 stitches) *, work from *-* 3 times in total, work A.2a (= 10 stitches), A.1a (= 2 stitches). Work the remaining 99 stitches in stocking stitch = 206 stitches on needle. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When A.1a, A.2a and A.3a have been worked 1 time vertically, work A.1b over A.1a, A.2b over A.2a and A.3b over A.3a Continue pattern like this until piece measures approx. 44 cm, adjust after one whole repetition of A.3. Work 1 round where you decrease 2 stitches over each cable in A.2b. Work 2 ridges over all stitches and loosely cast off.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew together in top edge, edge to edge in outer loop of edge stitch. Place a pillow inside the casing and sew together in bottom edge.
