CROCHET TENSION:
Pattern A.1b a total of 4 times in width = 10 cm in width.
14 treble crochets and 8.5 rows in height = 10 x 10 cm.

CROCHET HOOK:
DROPS CROCHET HOOK SIZE 5 MM.
Hook size is only a guide. If you have too many stitches on 10 cm, change to a larger hook size. If you have too few stitches on 10 cm, change to a smaller hook size.

EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN:

START THE PIECE HERE:

JACKET - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The piece is worked back and forth. Front and back pieces are worked separately and crocheted together to finish. Stitches are cast on for sleeves.

BACK PIECE:
Work 133-145-157-169-181-193 chain stitches with hook size 5 mm and BabyMerino. Then work according to the diagrams as follows: Work A.1d over the first 6 chain stitches, repeat A.1b until there is 1 chain stitch left (= 21-23-25-27-29-31 repeats), and finish with A.1e over the last chain stitch. When A.1d/b/e have been completed in height, repeat rows 3 and 4 onwards. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! When the piece measures approx. 50-52-52-54-54-56 cm – adjust so that you finish after row 3 in the diagrams (= from the right side), cut the strand.
Work 48-42-42-36-36-30 loose chain stitches for the sleeve, continue with row 4 in the diagrams as before over the back piece (from the wrong side) and finish with 48-42-42-36-36-30 loose chain stitches for the other sleeve.
The next row is worked as follows (= from the right side): Work row 1 in A.1a over the first 6 chain stitches, row 1 in A.1b over the next 42-36-36-30-30-24 chain stitches (= 7-6-6-5-5-4 repeats), row 3 in A.1b over the back piece a total of 22-24-26-28-30-32 times in width, work row 1 in A.1b over the next 42-36-36-30-30-24 stitches (= 7-6-6-5-5-4 repeats) and finish with row 1 in A.1c over the last 7 chain stitches.
The next row is worked starting from row 4 in the diagrams as follows (= from the wrong side): Work A.1c one time, A.1b a total of 36-36-38-38-40-40 times and finish with A.1a one time. Repeat rows 3 and 4 onwards. When the piece measures approx. 68-70-72-74-76-78 cm – adjust so that you finish after row 4 (= from the wrong side), finish each shoulder separately as follows:

RIGHT SHOULDER:
The next row (= row 3 in A.1a/b/e, from the right side) is worked as follows: Work A.1a one time, A.1b a total of 16-16-17-16-17-17 times and finish with A.1e one time. Work row 4. Cut and fasten the strand.

LEFT SHOULDER:
Skip the middle 8-8-8-12-12-12 chain-spaces for neck and fasten the strand with 1 slip stitch in the next double treble crochet.
The next row (= row 3 in A.1d/b/c, from the right side) is worked as follows: Work A.1d one time, A.1b a total of 15-15-16-15-16-16 times and finish with A.1c a one time. Work row 4. Cut and fasten the strand.

RIGHT FRONT PIECE:
Work 79-85-91-97-103-109 chain stitches with hook size 5 mm and BabyMerino. Then work according to the diagrams as follows: Work A.1a over the first 6 chain stitches, repeat A.1b until there is 1 chain stitch left (= 12-13-14-15-16-17 repeats) and finish with A.1e over the last chain stitch. When A.1a/b/e have been completed in height repeat rows 3 and 4 onwards.
When the piece measures approx. 50-52-52-54-54-56 cm – adjust so that you finish after row 3 in A.1a/b/e (= from the right side), cut the strand.
Work 48-42-42-36-36-30 loose chain stitches for the sleeve, continue with row 4 in the diagrams as before over the front piece (from the wrong side).
The next row is worked as follows (= from the right side): Work row 3 in A.1a, A.1b over the front piece a total of 12-13-14-15-16-17 times in width, work row 1 in A.1b over the next 42-36-36-30-30-24 stitches (= 7-6-6-5-5-4 repeats) and finish with row 1 in A.1c over the last 7 chain stitches.
The next row is worked starting from row 4 in A.1c/b/a (= from the wrong side) as follows: Work A.1c, A.1b a total of 19-19-20-20-21-21 times in width and finish with A.1a. Repeat rows 3 and 4 onwards. When the piece measures 70-72-74-76-78-80 cm – adjust so that you finish after row 4 (= from the wrong side), work the shawl collar as follows:

SHAWL COLLAR:
Work A.2a one time, A.2b a total of 1-1-1-2-2-2 times and finish with A.2c one time. When A.2 has been completed in height, rows 3 to 6 are repeated 2-2-2-3-3-3 more times in height. The collar measures approx. 8-8-8-10-10-10 cm at the narrowest point. Cut and fasten the strand.

LEFT FRONT PIECE:
Work 79-85-91-97-103-109 chain stitches with hook size 5 mm and BabyMerino. Then work according to the diagrams as follows: Work A.1d over the first 6 chain stitches, repeat A.1b until there are 7 chain stitches left (= 11-12-13-14-15-16 repeats) and finish with A.1c over the last 7 chain stitches. When A.1d/b/c have been completed in height, repeat rows 3 and 4 onwards. When the piece measures approx. 50-52-52-54-54-56 cm – adjust to after row 4 in the diagrams (= from the wrong side) finish with 48-42-42-36-36-30 loose chain stitches at the end of the row for sleeve.
The next row is worked as follows (= from the right side): Work row 1 in A.1a over the first 6 chain stitches, work row 1 in A.1b over the next 42-36-36-30-30-24 chain stitches (= 7-6-6-5-5-4 repeats), work row 3 in A.1b over the front piece a total of 12-13-14-15-16-17 times in width and finish with row 3 in A.1c.
The next row is worked starting from row 4 in A.1c/b/a (= from the wrong side) as follows: Work A.1c one time, A.1b a total of 19-19-20-20-21-21 times in width and finish with A.1a. Repeat rows 3 and 4 onwards. When the piece measures 70-72-74-76-78-80 cm – adjust so that you finish after row 4 (= from wrong side), cut and fasten the strand. Work shawl collar as follows starting from the right side:

SHAWL COLLAR:
Skip the first 6 double treble crochets and skip 32-32-34-32-34-34 chain-spaces for shoulder. Fasten the strand with 1 slip stitch in the next double treble crochet.
Work A.3a one time, A.3b a total of 1-1-1-2-2-2 times and finish with A.3c one time. When A.3 has been completed in height, rows 3 to 6 are repeated 2-2-2-3-3-3 more times in height. The collar measures approx. 8-8-8-10-10-10 cm at the narrowest point. Cut and fasten the strand.

ASSEMBLY:
Lay the front pieces on top of back piece. Crochet through both layers.
Work the shoulders first as follows: 1 double crochet through both layers, * 3 chain stitches, 1 double crochet around the next chain-space *, work from *-*.
Crochet the sides together, starting from the bottom edge as follows: 1 double crochet through both layers, * 3 chain stitches, 1 double crochet around the chain-space/treble crochet/double treble crochet on next row *, work from *-* along the side. Continue under the sleeve as follows: * 3 chain stitches, 1 double crochet around the next chain-space*, work from *-*.
Sew the shawl collar together mid back and sew to the neckline at back of neck. Make sure that the seam is on the wrong side when the collar is turned down.
