GARTER STITCH (back and forth):
1 ridge = knit 2 rows.

See diagrams A.1 to A.3. Diagrams show all rows in pattern seen from the right side.

Work the entire blanket in 2 strands and work back and forth on circular needle.

Cast on 73-115 stitches on circular needle size 5 mm with 2 strands BabyMerino or 2 strands Nord. Work 2 ridges in GARTER STITCH - read explanation above.
Work next row as follows from right side: 3 edge stitches in garter stitch, work A.1 over the first 4 stitches, work A.2 until 6 stitches remain on needle (= 10-17 repetitions of 6 stitches), work A.3 over the next 3 stitches and finish with 3 edge stitches in garter stitch. Continue pattern like this until piece measures approx. 49-79 cm (or desired length), finish after one whole repetition vertically. Work 2 ridges back and forth over all stitches. Then cast off by knitting from the right side. Blanket measures approx. 50-80 cm from top and down.

= knit from the right side, purl from the wrong side
= between 2 stitches make 1 yarn over, on next row purl yarn over to make hole
= knit 2 together
= slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch worked
= slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 2 stitches together, pass slipped stitch over stitches worked together

Dear Joanna, you will find diagrams A.1, A.2 and A.3 at the very bottom of the pattern, just below diagrma key. Happy knitting!
