Pattern instructions

NOTE: This pattern is written in British English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inches - click here. CROCHET INFO:
Cornet:
Replace first tr at beg of every round with 3 ch, finish every round with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round.
Ice cream:
Beg every round with 1 ch and finish every round with 1 sl st in first dc from beg of round.

WORK 2 DC TOG AS FOLLOWS:
Insert hook in first dc and pull thread through, insert hook in next dc and pull thread through, make a YO and pull thread through all 3 loops on hook.

ICE:
Beg at the bottom of cornet and work in the round upwards.

CORNET:
ROUND 1: Make a loop with dark beige (as when beg to crochet), be careful not to tighten this. Work tr in this loop later. Work 3 ch from the first loop, then 3 tr in the first loop made, then work 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round = 4 tr.
ROUND 2: READ CROCHET INFO! * Work 1 tr in first tr, 2 tr in next tr *, repeat from *-* 1 more time = 6 tr.
ROUND 3: * Work 1 tr in each of the first 2 tr, 2 tr in next tr *, repeat from *-* 1 more time = 8 tr.
ROUND 4: * Work 1 tr in each of the first 3 tr, 2 tr in next tr *, repeat from *-* 1 more time = 10 tr.
ROUND 5: * Work 1 tr in each of the first 4 tr, 2 tr in next tr *, repeat from *-* 1 more time = 12 tr.
ROUND 6: * Work 1 tr in each of the first 3 tr, 2 tr in next tr *, repeat from *-* 2 more times = 15 tr.
ROUND 7: * Work 1 tr in each of the first 4 tr, 2 tr in next tr *, repeat from *-* 2 more times = 18 tr.
ROUND 8: * Work 1 tr in each of the first 5 tr, 2 tr in next tr *, repeat from *-* 2 more times = 21 tr.
ROUND 9: * Work 1 tr in each of the first 6 tr, 2 tr in next tr *, repeat from *-* 2 more times = 24 tr.
ROUND 10: * Work 1 tr in each of the first 5 tr, 2 tr in next tr *, repeat from *-* 3 more times = 28 tr.
ROUND 11: * Work 1 tr in each of the first 6 tr, 2 tr in next tr *, repeat from *-* 3 more times = 32 tr.
ROUND 12: Work as follows only in front loop of st from previous round: * 1 dc in each of the first 3 tr, 2 dc in next tr *, repeat from *-* 7 more times = 40 dc.
Fasten off, the cornet is done. Fill it with some cotton wool.

ICE CREAM:
Work with off white.
ROUND 1: Work dc in back loop of sts on last round with tr worked on cornet, i.e. on the inside of round with dc = 32 dc.
ROUND 2-4: Continue with 1 dc in every dc.
ROUND 5: * 1 dc in each of the first 2 dc, work the next 2 dc tog * – see explanation above, repeat from *-* the entire round = 24 dc.
ROUND 6: * 1 dc in first dc, work the next 2 dc tog * – see explanation above, repeat from *-* the entire round = 16 dc.
ROUND 7: Switch to pink and work as follows: * 1 dc in first dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 24 dc.
ROUND 8: * 1 dc in each of the first 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 32 dc.
ROUND 9: * 1 dc in each of the first 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 40 dc.
ROUND 10-13: 1 dc in every dc.
ROUND 14: * 1 dc in each of the first 3 dc, work the next 2 dc tog * – see explanation above, repeat from *-* the entire round = 32 dc.
ROUND 15: * 1 dc in each of the first 2 dc, work the next 2 dc tog * – see explanation above, repeat from *-* the entire round = 24 dc.
ROUND 16: * 1 dc in first dc, work the next 2 dc tog * – see explanation above, repeat from *-* the entire round = 16 dc.
ROUND 17: Crochet all dc tog 2 by 2 = 8 dc. Cut the yarn, baste it around the top, fill the ice cream with some cotton wool, tighten tog.

DECORATION:
Sew zig-zag stitches with pink Cotton Viscose at the of the ice cream in off white, below the pink one.
Embroider a large flower with ”petit fleur” stitches at the top of the pink ice cream with 2 strands chestnut Cotton Viscose. Embroider a smaller flower the same way with pink Cotton Viscose – sew the leaves on this flower between the leaves from last flower.
