GARTER ST (back and forth on needle):
K all rows.

BUTTON HOLES:
Cast off for button holes on right band. 1 button hole = beg from RS and K tog third and fourth st from edge and make 1 YO. On next row P the YO.
Cast off for button holes when piece measures:
SIZE S: 20 and 28 cm.
SIZE M: 21 and 29 cm.
SIZE L: 22 and 31 cm.
SIZE XL: 23 and 32 cm.
SIZE XXL: 24 and 34 cm.
SIZE XXXL: 25 and 35 cm.
--------------------------------------------------------

BACK PIECE:
Cast on 94-102-110-124-132-144 sts (incl 1 edge st in each side) on needle size 3 mm with Muskat Soft. Work 4 rows in GARTER ST - see explanation above. Switch to needle size 4 mm and work in stocking st with 1 edge st in garter st in each side. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 5-6-7-8-6-7 cm, dec 1 st in each side, repeat dec every 5-5-5-5-6-6 cm a total of 3 times = 86-94-102-116-124-136 sts. AT THE SAME TIME after last dec (piece measures 20-21-22-23-24-25 cm), insert a marker in each side (= for assembly). Continue as before. When piece measures 36-38-40-42-44-46 cm, cast off 3-3-5-8-7-11 sts at beg of the next 2 rows for armholes in each side = 80-88-92-100-110-114 sts. Continue in stocking st with 1 st in garter st in each side. When piece measures 51-54-57-60-63-66 cm, cast off the middle 22-22-24-24-26-26 sts for neck and finish each shoulder separately. Continue to cast off 2 sts on next row from neck = 27-31-32-36-40-42 sts remain on the shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 53-56-59-62-65-68 cm.

LEFT FRONT PIECE:
Cast on 93-99-106-114-120-129 sts (incl 1 edge st in the side and 8 band sts towards mid front) on needle size 3 mm and work 4 rows in garter st.
Switch to needle size 4 mm and work in stocking st with 2 sts in garter st towards the side and 2 sts in garter st towards mid front.
When piece measures 20-21-22-23-24-25 cm, cast off the first 42-44-47-48-50-53 sts at beg of row from RS = 51-55-59-66-70-76 sts. When piece measures 36-38-40-42-44-46 cm, cast off for armhole in the side as on back piece = 48-52-54-58-63-65 sts. When piece measures 53-56-59-62-65-68 cm, cast off the first 27-31-32-36-40-42 sts at beg of row from RS for shoulder = 21-21-22-22-23-23 sts remain on needle for collar.
Continue in stocking st with 1 edge st in garter st towards the shoulder and 2 sts in garter st towards mid front until collar measures 8-8-8½-8½-9-9 cm measured from the shoulder. Now cast off the first 7 sts at beg of the next 2 rows from RS, then loosely cast off the remaining 7-7-8-8-9-9 sts.

RIGHT FRONT PIECE:
Work as left front piece but reversed. Remember to cast off for button holes.

SLEEVE:
Cast on 44-46-48-50-52-54 sts (incl 1 edge st in each side) on needle size 3 mm. Work 4 rows in garter st. Switch to needle size 4 mm and work in stocking st with 1 edge st in garter st in each side. When piece measures 10-8-10-7-10-8 cm, inc 1 st in each side. Repeat inc every 3-3-2½-2½-2-2 cm a total of 14-15-16-17-18-19 times = 72-76-80-84-88-92 sts. When piece measures 53-52-51-49-48-46 cm (shorter measurements in the larger sizes because of longer sleeve cap and broader shoulder width), insert a marker in each side. Continue to work and cast off when piece measures 54-53-53-52-51-51 cm. Knit another sleeve.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew the shoulder seams.
Sew collar tog mid back cast off edge to cast off edge.
Then sew collar to cast off edge on neck, sew inside 1 edge st.
Sew in sleeves - marker at the top of sleeve (= D on chart) should fit the side of body - see chart.
Sew the side seams inside 1 edge st as follows: Sew A (= cast off edge on front piece) against B (= side of back piece) - see chart. NOTE! Adjust so that cast off edge on each front piece is sewn up to marker on back piece, then continue side seam as before inside 1 edge st and sew sleeve seams in one.
Sew the buttons on to the left band.

This pattern has been corrected. .

LEFT FRONT PIECE:
...Switch to needle size 4 mm and work in stocking st with 2 sts in garter st towards the side and 2 sts in garter st towards mid front.

Mary Goggin 02.01.2013 - 21:15:

Hi there. When the pattern says to work 2 stitches in garter stitch towards the mid front where exactly does this mean? I have cast on 106 stitches for the third size and am not sure where the two garter stitches should go. Also, the 2 garter stitches towards the side -does this mean at the side edge? Thanks for your help. Regards, Mary

DROPS Design 09.01.2013 kl. 10:18:

Dear Mrs Goggin, with 106 sts for 3rd size, you will work so : 2 sts in garter st, st st over the next 102 sts and finish with 2 sts in garter sts. Happy knitting !

No charts: yarn is manycolored

Maureen Pratt 01.11.2012 - 15:35:

Where are the charts for fair isle

DROPS Design 13.11.2012 kl. 12:45:

Hi Maureen, there is no fair isle pattern, the pattern comes from the yarn.

BERNATEAU Marianne 05.10.2012 - 14:48:

Bon tricot !
