Pattern instructions

Rib: Row 1: *K1, P1*, Row 2: *K1 into back of loop, P1*, repeat row 1 and 2.
Moss st: Row 1: *K1, P1*, Row 2: P over K, K over P. Repeat row 2.
Pattern: See diagram. The diagram shows the pattern from the RS side.
Body piece and sleeves: Work *14 rounds moss st, M1*. Repeat from *-*.

Body: The jumper is worked in the round on circular needle. Cast on 172-180 sts on circular needle size 2.5 mm and work 8 cm rib. Change to circular needle size 4 mm and continue in pattern – see above - at the same time inc 44-54 sts evenly on first round = 216-234 sts. Remember the knitting tension! When piece measures 27-28 cm cast off 4-7 sts each side and divide piece in two. Now complete front and back pieces separately.
Front piece: = 104-110 sts. Cast off to shape the armhole on every other row: 2 sts 1 time, 1 st 3-4 times = 94-98 sts. When piece measures 46-47 cm cast off the middle 38-38 sts for neck and cast off to the shape the neckline on every other row: 4 sts 2 times, 2 sts 4 times, 1 st 7 times. Cast off remaining sts on shoulder when piece measures 60-61 cm.
Back piece: =104-110 sts. Cast off for armhole as described for back piece. When piece measures 50-51 cm cast off for neck as described for front piece. Cast off remaining sts on shoulder when piece measures 60-61 cm.
Sleeve: Cast on 42-46 sts on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm and work 6 cm Rib. Change to double pointed needles size 4 mm and continue in pattern – see above - at the same time inc 13-11 sts evenly on first round = 55-57 sts. At the same time after the rib inc 2 sts mid under arm on every 4th round a a total of 6 times, and then on every 3rd round a total of 30-29 times = 127-127 sts. When piece measures 49-48 cm cast off 6 sts mid under arm and complete piece back and forth on needle. Cast off to shape the sleeve cap each side on every other row: 4 sts 2 times, 2 sts 2 times, 10 sts 1 time, 6 sts 2 times. Cast off remaining sts, piece measures approx 54-53 cm.
Assembly: Sew the shoulder seams. Pick up approx 228 sts round the neck on circular needle size 3 mm and continue as follows: *K1, P3*, repeat from *-* for 6 cm. Work next round as follows: *K1, P2 tog, P1*, repeat from *-*. Continue as follows: *K1, P2*, repeat from *-* for 5 cm. Work next round as follows: *K1, P2 tog*, repeat from *-*. Continue as follows: *K1, P1*, repeat from *-* for 5 cm. Cast off loosely. Set in sleeves.
