SCARF:
Knitting Tension: 11 sts x 17 rows on needles size 7 mm in stocking sts = 10 x 10 cm.
Garter sts (back and forth on row): Knit all rows.
Crochet border: 1 dc in first st, *4 ch, 1 tr in first ch, skip approx 2 cm, 1 dc in next st*, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 sl st in first dc from beg of round

Cast on 44 sts on needle size 7 mm in Fox and knit 4 rows garter sts. Continue in stocking sts with 1 edge st in garter sts each side until scarf measures approx 158 cm. Knit 4 rows garter sts and cast of loosely.
Crochet a border round the scarf with crochet hook size 6 mm and Eskimo – see above.

MITTENS:

Crochet tension: width of 16 dc with Fox = 10 cm.
Crochet info: Crochet round in dc’s without finishing the round. Crochet in the back loop of dc (not through the whole dc).
Crochet border: 1 dc in first st, *4 ch, 1 tr in first ch, skip approx 2 cm, 1 dc in next st*, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 sl st in first dc from beg of round

Loosely crochet 34 ch with crochet hook size 5 mm and Fox and form a ring with a sl st. Crochet round with 1 dc in each ch = 34 dc – read Crochet info. When piece measures 13 cm make an opening for thumb by crocheting 7 loose ch at the beg of round, skip the next 7 dc and continue round with dc’s as before (the opening will be approx 4 cm, change this by crocheting less/more ch and skipping the same number of dc’s). On the next round crochet 1 dc in each of the 7 = 34 dc. Continue round until piece measures 24 cm, or desired length (2 cm left until finished measurements). Now dec by skipping every other dc on next round = 17 dc. Crochet 1 round without dec, 1 round skipping every other dc = 8 or 9 dc. Crochet 1 more round with dec = 4 or 5 dc left. Cut the thread and pull it through remaining dc. Sew tight.
Thumb: Crochet 14 dc round the thumb opening (1 dc in each of the skipped dc and 1 dc in each of the 7 ch). Crochet rounds with dc until thumb measures approx 5 cm (or desired length). Crochet 1 round skipping every other dc = 7 dc left. Cut the thread and pull it through remaining dc. Sew tight.
Crochet border: Crochet a border round the opening with crochet hook size 5 and Eskimo – see above.
