Knitting Tension: 12 sts x 20 rows on needles size 7 mm in moss sts = 10 x 10 cm.

Moss sts:
1st row: *K1, P1*, repeat from *-*.
2nd row: *K over P and P over K*, repeat from *-*. Continue to repeat the 2nd row.

Decreasing tips (apply for the toe):
All decreases are done from the RS.
Decrease as follows: K 2 tog.

Slippers: The slippers are knitted from the heel back on forth on row. Cast on 44-52-52 sts on needle size 7 mm in pink-purple print and knit moss sts – see explanation above. When the piece measures 11-12-14 cm cast off 10-12-12 sts loosely each side = 24-28-28 sts. Continue in moss sts. When the piece measures 17-20-23 cm dec 1 st each side on every RS row (see dec tips above) a total of 5 times = 14-18-18 sts on row. Cut the thread and pull it double through these sts. The piece measures approx. 22-25-28 cm.

Assembly: Sew the seam at the centre of the top of the foot, sew in the most outer edge with invisible sts. Sew the seam at the back the same way.

Crochet edge: Crochet an edge around the opening of the slipper with hook size 6 mm in pale pink mix as follows: - begin at the centre of the front of the “slit” and crochet round the edge and down the “slit” again – 1 dc in the first st, *4 ch, 1 tr in the first of the 4 ch, skip approx 3 cm, 1 dc in the following st*, repeat from *-* and finish with a sl st in the first dc from beg of round.

Crochet flower: Crochet 3 ch on hook size 6 mm in pale pink mix and make a loop with a sl st.
1st round: Crochet 5 dc around the loop.
2nd round: *4 ch, 1 tr in the first of the 4 ch, 1 dc in the following dc*, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 sl st in the 1st ch from beg of round = 5 leaves.
Sew the flower at the top of the slipper in between the foot and the leg.

Hi , is this knitted on double pointed needles , thank you :)

DROPS Design 03.03.2016 kl. 08:57:

Dear Gail, the slippers are worked back and forth (in rows) with straight needles. Happy knitting!

Groetjes, Annita

DROPS Design 19.03.2014 kl. 11:07:

Hoi Anita.

Sorry, I guess I didn't click `question`few minutes ago. Well, I just finished decreasing and having 14 sts now (work on small size). Next, I'm not sure ... Don't understand what you mean by `Cut the yarn and pull it double through these sts`. So I don't need to bind off (cast off)? Help please and thank you.

DROPS Design 21.02.2014 kl. 08:38:

Dear Kejora, you are correct, you don't cast off the sts, just pull double strand through the remaining sts, tighten and fasten on WS. Happy knitting!

Kejora 20.02.2014 - 21:58:

I just finished decreasing, so have 14 sts now. Then what? Said to cut the yarn and pull it double through these sts. I don't need to bind off? Cast off? Help please. Thanks.

Even een toevoeging.

Succes! Gr. Tine

There is a seem in the back and one on the upper foot. Fold slipper double when you are done knitting.

Sharon 25.01.2009 - 07:25:

I see that the pattern has been revised. It now refers to both cast-offs and decreases. This solves some of my confusion, but it is the sewing that is like a strange puzzle, as I've never seen anything constructed like this. Such wonderful looking slippers--I'm inspired to figure it out!
