EGG - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE:
The piece is worked in the round, bottom up. When the egg is finished, a cord is worked to hang the egg up with.
EGG:
Use crochet hook size 3.5 mm and DROPS Paris. Read CROCHET INFORMATION, COLOUR-CHANGE and COLOURS. Using the cast-on colour, work 2 chain stitches; the next round is worked in the second chain stitch from the hook (cast-on stitch). Work diagram A.1, 2 times on the round (= 6 double crochets on round 1). Fill with wadding as you go. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION!
When the diagram is finished there are 6 double crochets on the round. Work 8 chain stitches, then 1 slip stitch in the first chain stitch (loop). Cut the strand and tack it through the double crochets on the last round, tighten and fasten well. Work 1 egg in each colour alternative.
CORD:
Work a cord in 3 colours of your choice. Cut 3 strands, 70 cm in length, tie a knot at one end to keep the strands together. Plait the strands together, then tie a knot at the other end. Trim the strand-ends. Thread a cord through the loop on each egg, so they can be hung up.
